Temporary Toilet Seal Lubricant

First night out in our new rig and the toilet flush valve (gate valve disc) is sticking open. No one in the area Walmart, RV centers) has Thetford Toilet Seal Lunricant. Any suggestions on a temporary alternative lubricant to get us through the week?

I use this lube. It's the same stuff you use for pool equipment, water softener valves, etc.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004VTGL9A

Been using it for years with no issues.

If you are in a hurry for it, just look around for pool equipment lube in the pool section of your store.

Ordinary Vaseline applied to the rubber surfaces where they come in contact. DO NOT use WD-40!

Also could be an alignment issue. Inspect carefully to see that it closes in the correct position. If twisted, could be the valve pin is not on one of the internal pivots. The toilet may require removal of the toilet to correct.

Moved thread from the General TT/5th Wheel Discussion section to the Plumbing, Water Systems and Fixtures sub-forum since the OP's questions are specific to that sub-forum and not general questions.
