Is there enough room to change from 205/75R15 to 225/75R15 tires. Our gross weight is 8100 lbs, thnking that load range D would be be better than load range C.

Go to www.maxxis.com. Look up their trailer tires. Check the diameter of 205 vs. 225. If you have room under your 5'er, check out their 10 ply ST225/75R15 tires. My Sabre came with Mission 225/75R15 tires. Though the trailer is only 4 months old, I am replacing them in the spring with Maxxis 10 ply. I had Maxxis on my TT and really liked them.

the math says if you gain a diameter of 15mm.
the 205 is 205 mm wide and the 225 is uh 225 mm wide
but the overall diameter of the tire would increase by 15 mm, ( 75% of 225 = 168 mm and 75% of 205 =153.?? which leaves us at 15 mm or .59 of an inch of diameter difference, now if you change wheel size say up to a 16" wheel then its going to be a greater size difference.
if your tires are like ours i cannot get my palm between the two tires when they are warmed up.

or the 205 tire you have should have a diameter of roughly 27.04 "
versus the new tire diameter of 28.2"

hope it helps
