Just returned from a 3 week trip from Florida to Arizona and back ,I stay in the right lane go 62/65 mph . I'm old school and that I flash my lights at truckers, and other rvers and to my surprise 9/10 rvers don't seem to have a clue about what is happening . Is it me or do others have the same thoughts???
I assume you mean turning your lights off then on when some one has passed far enough and its safe for them to come back over? I know what it means and see truckers do it. Day time running and auto light switches do away with that friendly act.
I do it to truckers and RV’s also. Sometimes they get and sometimes they don’t.
Have had semis do it for me when passing them in our rv also. No easy way to flash the brake lights to them as thanks so I just turned them on and off in day time.
Even with lights in auto you can flash the brights on and off couple times to let them know.
I’m older so I get it though and will probably always do it as a courtesy. If they get it fine, if not that’s ok too.
I’ve always just turned the 4 way flashers on for a couple seconds to say thanks

Thanks... Now I have to clean my computer screen...
(BTW, I flash and use 4 way flashers....)

Very good point guys. And I thought I was one of the few left that do this. Well flashing the lights not the other. Thanks for sharing K&C, now I need to give my computer a bath too.
I'm 48 now and my grandfather taught me to tow 30 years ago on a trip from MS to CA and back. He taught me to flash all clear and a quick hit of the hazards to say thanks. But the overall usage on the road has really dwindled over the years. Along with a lot of patience amongst drivers.
