Tv mount

Well, I can’t seem to figure out how I’m going to mount a tv in my RV. The cable connection is only a couple of inches from my slideout when it is closed. It looks impossible to put a tv there. Any suggestions? It is an Aurora light 18BHS for an idea.

Can you post an image of the floor plan?

How do you feel about a lift-off mount, where you mount the TV when parked and lift it off for storage when bringing the slideout in?

I am fine with taking it on and off but would still need a pretty thin mount and I’m afraid what may be behind the thin wall.

Coax can be extended to wherever it would be better to mount your TV.
How far away would the power source be?
12 volt or 120 volt TV.
How strong is the wall where you’re trying to mount it?
Is there a sticker on the wall indicating where a mounting plate should be located?

Pictures always help us see what you’re seeing.

The mount would come off attached with the TV of travel. The plate that the mount attaches to is nearly flush.

Yes. I know the floor plan. I’m trying to figure out how or where I can mount the tv. Please read previous posts.

Okay. You’re right. There’s not much room to attach a TV in that shallow space when the slide comes in. Also, after seeing your floor plan, who and where would anyone be sitting to enjoy TV viewing? Certainly not every seat or bed is in viewing position. From what I see…..viewing from opposite side of dinette, and from sofa/Murphy bed.

Like someone suggested…..a quick detach mounting plate between the thermostat and the coax and electrical outlets. Hang the TV for viewing, but MUST be removed before retracting the slide. Or…….a very very flat mounted TV with no tilt or angle bracket.

Two choices

It looks like there are two choices:
  1. A swingout mount from the range-end of the bunk-bed frame
  2. A swingout mount on the bathroom wall.
In either case, the mount swings out so the TV is roughly centered on the bed/sofa.

To mount on the bathroom wall:
There should be one stud (2x2) at the end, where the door latches. Rap with your knuckles on the wall to find the next solid point, where the next stud is. Screw a piece of 3/4" plywood onto the wall between them. Screw the TV mount to the plywood.

To mount on the bunk frame:
It looks like there are two possible frame surfaces you could use.
