Your 7.3 Ford is a WONDERFUL and nearly Bulletproof engine though!

Just saw your post, we are getting ready to leave AZ to the S&B to prep it for sale, then to the Wildcat 300 miles from the S&B. Looking forward to getting back to it, too. So much to do to it before fall. All four of us, DW, myself and two chihuahuas fell in love with the 32RL.

We are hoping the engine in the TV lasts as long as it has already, over 250K on it but it purrs like a lion, pulls like an ox and rides like a truck. LOL

(The diesel would also cost a bit more to maintain although there is lots of debate about that subject.) I bought it because we were 600# over my F150’s GVWR, but I would like to upgrade to a 5er in the future. If we do, it won’t be longer than about 32 ft. and under 10,000#. So, IMO, the gasser is more than adequate for that size 5er.

For me, a diesel would be desirable if your 5er weighs much more than 10,000# and/or you tow a lot of miles per year, especially if you tow in a mountainous region.
I also tow fully loaded 5ver at 9500lbs with 2015 f250 Lariat with 3.73 gears. I’ve now towed the new 5ver 1400 miles without any power related issues or apparent strain on the truck. Only problem I have is not being able to find an abundance of rv friendly gas fuel lanes.

Here's the set up.
2016 F250 CC SRW 3.73 6.2L SB Lariat, towing a Cougar 310RLS
Dry Weight: 10055
Pin: 2055
GVWR: 12450
I think I am good on the numbers, but if you see an unsafe equation here please chime in.
We are looking at this 5er to be used as a couples camper. Maybe a grandkid occasionally. But the King Size bed option clinches the deal.
Thanks,
RMc
We tow our 5ver with the identical truck setup in a 2015 6.2l Lariat. Just make sure you don’t go over 10000lbs with your tongue weight on the truck to be within legal limits. I was surprised how close I came to this weight when I was fully loaded. The storage pass thru compartment will transfer a significant amount of weight to the truck. We tow a 8528RKWS with a posted dry weight of 8350# and an actual loaded weight of 9500#.

Thanks buddy. Looks like we may go with Grand Design but as of now we are still FROGS. Might be a done deal after next week but nothing is certain.
