I took the Equalizer hitch and adjusted it to the new truck. My 2013 had a slightly modified rear suspension to improve the horrible sag. So the hitch was set up for it. The new F350 isn't as tough in the rear springs so I had to adjust the Equalizer to compensate. Had to adjust ball height, add two washers, and raise the L-bracket one hole. Dang!

But it appears to be much better. Racing this weekend so we get to see how I did.

Ouch! Sorry to hear it. Was it just the bumper, or the trailer wall as well?

Unloaded it and towed it back to the storage lot.

We got back yesterday from our end of summer trip. Two weeks, 2590 towing miles. Averaged 11.81 MPG. Austin, TX to New River State Park, NC, then to Nolin Lake SP, Kentucky (near Mammoth Cave NP), then back to Austin. Temps were wonderful - max was 77 all days but one.

Hmm. Mostly the TV....who puts all this crap in my truck. Preparing to install progressive HW unit and building under trailer tire storage.
We shall see what next week allows me to do.

This weekend; washed and polished, scrubbed crud from underside of awning (looks new again), treated rubber roof over slides, lubricated stabilizer jack gears, lubricated hitch, tightened wheel lug nuts, changed batteries in TPMS sensors and adjusted tire air pressure. All set for a week in Traverse City, MI.

Gave it a place to park that's no longer on the street!
Got rid of the side yard, removed some old tree stumps, moved some rock, did a little excavation and brought in roughly 32 tons of rock.
I did a lot of prep work but hired a contractor to move dirt, remove stumps and bring in the rock and pack it. Now to add a 110 outlet on the side of the house.

One always feels better when you can store at home. Less worries about theft and damage...it's there when you want to do something and the money you save per month surly can be used elsewhere. Lots of work to get to this point, but well worth the effort.

As you can kind of tell in the picture I live on a side street that is a dead end so I've been parking it there on the side of the street... Always worried about someone hitting it or screwing with it. Feel much better of it sitting on my property.

And when you add power you'll love it even more. I also live in city, but I was able to widen driveway 12' and lucky that street is fairly wide to make backing in do-able. And the neighborhood busy bodies can kma!

I have a solar system on the trailer so I don't worry about batteries. I mostly want it to kick the fridge on a couple days before a trip to get it to temp.
