What did you do to your camper today?

Finally got to do some work on our camper today.

Installed a perfect harmony mattress topper. We will try it out this weekend.

Installed oxygenics shower head


Installed a tilting mounting bracket on our tv. The viewing angle from the dinette wasnt good so I'm hoping this helps.

Also installed blue sea single circuit battery disconnect switch on the battery. Hopefully this will help battery drain when we are not using the camper.

Took the camper for a ride today!
Actually, I finally de-winterized it totally and sanitized the system. Took it to a nice level spot and adjusted the WDH, which I asked the dealer to do when I bought it, and they didn't. Then DW and I went for a drive to the local SP and used their facilities to empty the black and gray tanks. Also wanted to see how the new adjustment worked. Everything seems to be working as it should!

We are now set for our first camping trip of the season this Thursday!

Nothing today- but bought the materials to finally hang my sewer holders (2 threaded rods, washers, lock nuts, and plating to go across them both). Now, just need to bring the camper home one day that my father-in-law can drill the holes for the mounts to the frame.

I also bought a 2x12, 2x10s and plywood so I can make some shelves for the basement. It'll be nice to be able to get to our zero gravity chairs without a crap ton stacked on top of them! Just need to bring the camper home sometime that I'm not busily doing spring cleanup in the yard (for dear son's second birthday come June).

Grrrrr Not REALLY Camper related...well sorta!

Found out when we turned on the irrigations system that the &^%$@! That poured our RV pad last NOV broke a main line to our side yard sprinklers

So today was spend digging and digging

Pulled it home after a weekend camping! Then, when i pulled into the yard I could smell brakes, seems my right front got a little warm, by the time I unhooked and moved the truck then jacked up said tire it was spinning freely. I guess it's time for a little brake maintenance, I need to replace the rear pads anyhow, rotate the tires, etc.

2x12 & 2x10's, boy, you are going heavy duty. Why not alum angle or steel angle?

Yeah there has been a few talks about this lately. I had it myself a few weeks ago. Slider pins were sticking and I overheated front passenger side brake. Took apart and lubed/cleaned everything. Now been ok

I used aluminum angle myself to build a rack for my zero gravity chairs. Only weighed a couple of pounds and sturdy as hell. I thought wood would add to much extra weight.

Day four of full timing - cleaned out basement (again) to get more weight savings. Amazed at how much duplication I had between the condo and the RV.....

Comfort-level, mostly. I'm much more confident with wood than metal.

I do plan on making a table hanger after this is in to hang a fold-up 6' table from the ceiling in the basement area.

You're both right- it'll be heavy as heck, but at my heaviest, I'm 1,000-1,300 pounds under my gross vehicle weight for the camper so I've got the capacity.

That's what I'm guessing, like I said I know the rear pads are done so I'll have a gettin dirty day, maybe this weekend. I'm "sure" the front pads are fine as I replaced them only a few thousand miles ago, but since this truck is only a hauler now that was a couple of years back. I'll get the light out and check the pads just to make sure.

But they take up so much space and don't add anything but I guess your peace of mind. I use alum and steel so I can pack more useful stuff I don't use.

New fresh water tanks replace the one that I cracked the pump hose fitting on. Did that probably when I first winterized it and it to leaking worse got worse and nothing would patch it and hold for long. This time I used enough 1/2 water hose to give it a loop at each end so it's got some slack. Surprised that a factory tank was only $122 shipped and it had all the right fittings and everything. This was a real project, since it looks like the tank goes in before the floor at the factory and there were screws I had to drill out since they were coming out wards from the tank. I also threw an extra section of steel strap across the center to help keep it from bowing out wards. I'll be nice to hit some of the campgrounds that don't have hookups finally.

While under there, I saw my rear axle brake wiring was ripped off, so I fixed that.

Replaced the old outside speakers with some crapy Jensen RV speakers... I don't need it loud or booming, so these do me just fine for some background music. The old ones were some off brand and made the radio sound like it was between channels. These probably will do the same, but I think I only paid $24 for the pair.

Replaced the swing out handle on the entry door with another one... I reused the old brackets since it used 4 bolts and the replacement used 2. The plastic brackets were fine but the old handle had started to rust and the rubber part was starting to come apart.

Installed one of those door bars on the screen door so people quit using the plastic screen door slide cover to catch the door swinging open.

Installed a Jack antenna, but I think I need to redo the coax going to the antenna. The light would not light up on the antenna and when I checked it with a meter, I only got 1volt, so I think something else is wrong. 5 minutes to install is a joke... It take me more than that to convince me to go on the roof!

I meant to wash the top, but ran out of steam. I guess I'll get that when I tackle the coax.

We go to Canadian Shield once a summer and collect rocks for the Garden. Before I go I take out anything I don't expect to use to allow payload for nice colourful rick's! Last year it was 300 lbs worth!

Cleaned off all the old torque stripes on the lug nuts, now I am ready to paint on the new ones once the nuts are properly torqued come Friday morning. Fired up the frig. last night, start loading food in today...
