Not today but yesterday we ordered it. Ordered a new 2016.5 Columbus 320RS. Should be here late March or early April. Can't wait.

I had a real bad rotten egg smell at my bathroom sink but only on the hot water side. Very strange as it's the only tap with the issue and happens if I'm on city water or my FW tank. I mixed up a 5 gallon bucket of water and 1/4-cup of bleach and ran it through all of the faucets. Let it sit all day and am flushing it out now. Also ran a bit into the fresh water tank which I'll flush out soon.

Also noticed a bit of calcium build up on my quick connects and 4-way water splitter. Soaked everything in vinegar for the day and brushed them all clean.

And, I mentioned this on my Now or Never thread- but went to the notary to have them notarize our signatures for USPS and domicile forms for transitioning our residency to FL.

And finally, loving the Florida weather.

Two things to note-

1) I'm using my antifreeze inlet to pump from the 5 gallon bucket.

2) between using that and my outside shower hose (take the showerhead off), I was able to fill my freshwater tank from the bucket. This is my boondocking plan once I finally start doing it- fill my FW tank from whatever my water carrying mechanism is that way because the fill port is way too high to comfortably dump into (even with a flexible funnel).

Replaced my fluorescent bulbs with strip LED's. Three were 18 in. and the one the counter by the sink is nine. But only one strip in each one. Three are in the living area. Under the counter by the sink is a 9 in. one. Only put one strip in that but wife would like it brighter. No problem as you buy the strips 18 in. and that one was cut in two pieces, so tomorrow I will add the second strip. Got these in Quartzite for $10 for each 18 in. strip. He cut the one for me and soldered on the wire ends at no charge.
Tomorrow, if the weather holds I have to change out the outside LED strip with a new controller.

We are in Lake City, FL but tomorrow head to LazyDays in Tampa. We'll actually stick around in Florida for 6-8 weeks before heading north back to our hometowns.

We were out west until the end of December, then it was a run across the country in order to meet up with friends this past weekend (have been camping with them all week) and then a rally in 2 weeks in Tampa. We want to get there early to catch up with more folks that we met back in Branson in September.

As for the water pump- mostly just using what I have already.

BUT we haven't done any real boondocking. A couple of parking lot dockings so far. I think come October, I'm going to have a buddy help guide me in building 2 big bladders (100-150 gallons each). One for waste water and one for fresh water. If I do that, I'll likely need to do something for transferring the freshwater more than using the anti-freeze an onboard pump.

Trimetrics 2030RV installed

I installed a battery monitor in the Work n Play 18EC yesterday. We camp in provincial campgrounds with no plug-ins or in the bush hunting so I rely on my 2 6-volt deep cycle batteries. I don't have alot of faith in the idiot lights that came with the trailer and wanted a good battery monitor.

I installed the 500 amp shunt in a PVC box attached to the side of my battery box. Placed the 2030 monitor on a hollow wall next to the Murphy bed at the front of the trailer. All wires are hidden. The monitor works great. I immediately noticed that the led lights draw between 0.2 and 0.5 amps. The one remaining incandescent bulb I have draws 1.5 amps. I'll replace it tomorrow.

The 2030 monitor has alot of features that I'll explore over the next few months. I paid C $240 for it and the shunt. Money well spent I think!

I just bought my Chaparrala few weeks ago and it is January in St Louis, but we had a really nice weekend, so I started getting this trailer outfitted the way I want.
I installed a pull bar on the screen door, a clock in the living room, added some little shelves on the bedroom slide walls since the king bed takes up any room for a night stand and installed some cord and hose orgainizers in the basement.

VizJedi, congrats on the new Chaparral. I noticed the RhinoFLEX sewer hose sitting in your pass through. That's a good choice but I hope you're going to put that hose and its fittings in some kind of container. I use a large Rubbermaid tote with a lid.

Ha, ha.

I had the RhinoFlex in my old 5er that I just sold. Bought new ones and threw them in the basement until I can get different tubs. I do the same with the little odds and ends that like to roll around. My old 5er had a much tighter basement. I'm going to get deeper tubs for this one.

And thanks for the Congrats. This is my 4th camper and absolutely, my favorite. That's saying a lot since I had my prior 5er for 13 years and loved it.

Not a whole lot. Started putting some pipe insulation and regular insulation for a rear compartment where 2 of my leaks were. I'm hoping that between them, it'll help keep those from freezing again. We'll see.

The TT is in hibernation but we did pick up a towel and bath mat set at Wal-Mart that are a perfect match for the decor in our Rockwood.
