Absolutely congrats to all. Our 38th will be June 5. I don't even remember life before the DW.

We continued loading all of the gear into the trailers. I bought some cargo straps and screwed them into the aluminum frames on the forward wall. Now the chairs, Camp Chef stove, collapsible table are neatly secured to the forward wall. Decided we didn't need 8 chairs for two people, also.

I'm thinking about cargo netting to restrain the Dutch ovens, charcoal bucket, and storage bins to the rear wall.

Wow, that's a lot of RV to wash compared to our previous 05 Flagstaff. I'm about ready for bed. Momma and I are celebrating our 39th anniversary this weekend.
Made it to the OBX (211 miles/3.5 hours) with no problems. Stopped twice to check tire temp with new infrared thermometer (OC I see what you mean by being mindful of the tires on the sunny side of the RV.). Setup and my stabilizer bars reduce movement tremendously. After setup, everything worked with no leaks, drips or problems. Chill time.

Installed a set of air horns. Dukes of Hazard. The stock horns were not loud enough.

Getting some much needed rain so nothing on the camper today. Just wishing we were in the camper watching the rain.

It's nice to have a "break the glass in case of emergency" house. We did the same couple of years ago when we had some serious winds and no power for a week. I only ran a 30A receptacle to the outside pad because our TT was a 30 amper. It'll be okay to use the main AC only since our coach isn't that big in case something else happens. Now, if we were in the south, that would be a different story.

No, but would like to be! We are planning a trip there this early fall. Just trying to get a feel for the better campground down there. How do you like where your staying?

We did the same thing Po-Boy! Installed a 50AMP when we poured the pad by the side of the house. Over the winter when we got 'the itch' out we would go - having the 50 AMP was nice with the Fireplace! Spent last weekend futzing around inside with 85deg outside...nice to see the A/C works

That's was the main reason. Running AC would warm up the extension cable used to convert over to 20 amp so I haven't been running it. Now I feel safe.

I started to install BAL stabilizer arms, but the way the undercarriage is constructed the bolts miss the front frame, and on the sides the bolts just aren't long enough. I swapped out the 1" self tappers with 2", and it barely hit the metal frame. It took it off, sealed the drill holes, and will reconsider this when I have more time. It's a brand new trailer, I really don't want to be hacking it up quite yet.

I ordered a Camco king pin stabilizing tripod for the interim.

Also installed the shower nozzle you guys recommended. DW was off from work today and spent the afternoon stowing more of the gear. I think it'll take a few trips to figure out the best place for everything.

I thought some more about the idiotic location of the water filter deep in the basement walls. The only way to really get to it is to remove the exterior shower housing and reach in. The filter is about a foot from that. I'm going to leave that alone for now, too, and just hope the dreaded "self unscrewing" event doesn't happen for a while.
