I set the camper up in the driveway to take a shower this morning after my 4 year old thought the goose neck tub filler on our claw foot tub in the house was a chin up bar... ugh... that boy is something else.

ON a positive note, the shower in the camper was great.

Had to get creative yesterday when setting up due to the pretty terrible slope of the site.

This is the first that my steps were defeated:

I've been ordering more bits'n'pieces from amazon and camping world (more info when they arrive) in prep for our road trip starting in just over 2 weeks.
Plan to be spending much of this coming weekend re-organizing storage areas to maximize use of space (weather permitting)

I did make my own right-angle slide-out broom, using a soft broom, some plumbing fixtures, an extending broom handle, a couple of screws and liberal amounts of epoxy. I'll take/post photos if it holds up ok when I give it a first test at the weekend

We stayed the night in the Windjammer for the first time Sunday night. Didn't go anywhere, just stayed in it here at home. Wife likes it even more now that we've stayed in it, she says it will be perfect for our Florida site.
Cooked supper on the Coleman road trip for the first time, then switched it out to the griddles and wife cooked breakfast on it the next morning. She really likes it too, it gets a lot hotter than our Sams Club grill in our other trailer.
I didn't put the awning in because it was wet. I noticed it's a lot more stable and doesn't flap around in the wind like my other trailer awnings have.

We umm, well we got a little frisky and I'm sure I saw the bedroom slide moving. I hope this doesn't turn out to be a problem when we're in Florida.

Then Tuesday I got word no more work was coming up so we drove 135 miles and picked up my sunset trail from the mobile home park since the rent was due. Drove through the rain to get there, unhooked power, water and sewer in the rain, put the slide in in the rain, and hooked up in the rain.
Drove home in the rain and unhooked in the rain.

Wife was trying to hold an umbrella for me but it was a tossup whether she'd poke out one of my eyes with it or scratch my truck with it first so I told her I was fine and to go sit in the truck.

20 mpg on the trip up empty, 10.5 on the way home loaded.

Yesterday I cleaned up the road trip grill and put it away in the storage compartment of the Windjammer, it fits in there ok. Also put the new water hose, regulator, and water hose 90 fitting in there I bought for the trailer. The compartment is small but I still have room for the 30 ft electrical shore cord. I bought a new one that 90's right out of the side of the trailer and doesn't put so much stress on the plug in there.

I built a outside tv mount out of the mount that came with the trailer to hang a sidekick grill on the side of the trailer. Works good and the table that hangs on the side will be good to set the satellite receiver on for watching tv outside.

I put the griddles and stove top attachments I bought for the road trip back in their boxes and stored them in the kitchen cabinet under the bar.

Then onto the other trailer. Got all the food out of it. Cleaned both refrigerators, cleaned out and re-organized the front storage compartment where stuff had been gathering while I was working out of town. Left it open a lot of the day with the vent fan on to suck the moisture out.

Took the tow mirrors off my truck, took the hitch off my truck.

These campers are a lot of work.

I de winterized. Check out everything from lights to brakes to tires. Then used and or ran all the things in the camper. Added a battery voltage and amp display. I rewired the 12 volt side so the charger will display the amps it is charger through the display, and so when I'm dry camping it shows the Amos I'm drawing and what the inverter draws. Change out one ceiling light to led, was not impressed so I'm back on the hunt for led light. I need something that will be bright, last a long time, and be quality and a decent price. Any thoughts

EBay for LEDs. That's where I get mine. Make sure they are 5050.

Anyone know where I can find these? This is one that doesn't work, but not the melted one. This one is from the bunkhouse. Same light though.

Ordered from another local dealer. $13 each for the light and fixture. I went ahead and ordered an extra. Got a call yesterday that they are in.

Several things. Added a sprayer to the kitchen faucet. Changed the location of the false wall under the bathroom sink. Added labels to the slides, I was constantly pushing the wrong button for a slide. Now I know which is which. Added shoe cubbies to keep them off the floor

Just wired my led tricolor under the awning- thought about it for quite a while, realized the 120v power was 120v in- 12volt 3amp out. I had a few 12 volt cigarette adapter cords for garage handheld work lights. never used them in car so cut the cigarette lighter end off and wired it to the wires already there so they do work off the switch and change colors with the remote.

Got back in town from Texas today and saw that the ups / fedex / usps guys had been busy this week.

Did a test run of the satellite. All is good.

Unpackaged a gallon of 303 and 6 32oz bottles of the 303 speed detailer.

Also received the skimmer door for the pool....

Baseball games are cancelled tomorrow and moved to a one day tournament on Sunday. Will spend the day tomorrow out in the shop applying the 303 to the roof and finishing the quick wax / speed detail. Also gonna clean and organize the basement storage.

Also, have one of the new Andersen ball cups on the way. Will allow some forgiveness when hitching.

Ocean Lakes in less than a week. Can't wait!
