I may be interested in doing this mod. Is there a quantifiable benefit? 1 degree cooler? 5 degrees? Also is there a link to a explanation thread on the process?

Removed all propane hoses and copper lines in the trailer to clean out any residual oil that accumulated over the years. Then I'm going to pull out the fridge and clean the entire propane system.

I picked up both a 30 gallon barrel, then a 50 gallon barrel [full of water] just to see if the base plate I added would do the job and they both lifted with no problem.
The further out you extend the lifting arm, the less weight you can lift. At full extension, it is marked at 500# max.
Since I will be mainly using it to lift our outboard motor or generators, it isn't even a strain at 150 lbs. I would, however, recommend a larger base plate than is part of the unit so you can distribute the pressures over a wider area.

I'm kicking myself for not taking a picture oh well. I removed the inside cover of my coleman mach and found that FR had applied so much expanding foam to seal the unit that in both supply ducts the foam was blocking about 1/4 of the duct and on the return air on both sides the foam was sticking out into the air flow. I use a razor knife and cut away all the access foam should help the air flow. I did find one screw not fully seated on the ceiling decider plate.

My air conditioner in my 2306 was a bloody mess. Another sign of the high quality FR strives for. Had a piece installed backwards and it was allowing about 25% of the air output to return into the intake. Made it vey loud. Ducts blocked also. Why we keep buying this crap is beyond me. Makes me not want to upgrade. I just don't have the time or patience to go through the break-in period again. Think we will just buy a shack on some beach.

I hear ya, but you know if everything was right with my rig I would be bored to tears and consuming way to many gin and tonics. between my rig and that of others it has been a great learning experience and given me the opportunity to help other campers so overall its a plus.

Finally got around to fixing the upper slide out seals on our V-Lite. Despite what Roger Beiler at Forest River says the slide cutouts on our trailer were cut wrong. There is no way you can adjust over an inch of height at the wall out with an adjustment on the outer edge of a slide as all that does is tip the slide which is sitting very nicely against the wall when the slides are out. The rear slide was easy to see the hole was cut wrong as well. I bought a new Slide Wiper off Amazon and put them on and now at least the slides are sealed. Is it the right way? Of course not the wall should be replaced but I do not have the money or time to drive to Indiana to get it fixed the right way. It took the better part of a day to replace the seals as there is 2 sided tape that sticks like Eternabond does and it took a lot of elbow grease to get it all cleaned up. You can see from the picture that the seal I installed is much bigger than the original and it just covers the gap that was there, I also included a pic to show the gap.
One thing I discovered when I was doing this work, my BIL has a Spree that has caused him much grief but I got looking at the slide seals on his unit and it has double seals. It has one on the inside of the wall and one outside like my V-Lite, there is also a plastic cap that covers the exposed wall edge in the cutout.
It was discussed on here yesterday about the Quality Control at the Rockwood Flagstaff factory and I went through it as well in 2012 at the 1st International FROG Rally and thought they did a pretty good job. Seeing how these slide seals are so far out of wack they clearly do not do a very good job of QC.

I bought mine from US Carburetor (?). About $175 and an easy install if you are somewhat mechanically inclined. The kit came with everything needed and instructions.
