I like metal myself also. Fiberglass is also labor intensive to keep shiny and not chalky looking, i.e. Lots of waxing. My aluminum just wash and it shines

In the fall sometime I made up a DC power distribution panel in front of the batteries on my R-Pod 171. I have been covering it with a cheesy plastic bag, and yesterday I fabricated a cover from Dicor EDPM roofing membrane, adhesively bonded with Dicor BT-1834-1 1/8" x 3/4" butyl seal tape. Did a test fit today; I still need to add stainless snaps to fasten it to the panel.

Still mucking around with a data logger trying to better understand how my WFCO 8955 converter actually behaves in service.

Didn't do anything; however, due to the high temps (mid 30s) this past week I was finally able to see the top of the crappy roof. And the 4-feet of snow did not collapse it.
More snow is here....

How is the storage outside though, looks like there is less then most fifth wheels but I really do like the layout it is like my 2012 Shasta Revere 27rlss. We find most layout like this put the TV all the way over by the Dinette which doesn't make sense. We are looking at Used PT Crusaders 2013-2015 for mid to high $20's but the fact I can order one brand new from RVW for less than $26K might just be worth it.

I lied. I ended up coming home. I took a couple pics, but it's full of crap and half dark out. It measures app 12" T x 48" wide. The door is only about 30" wide. There enough room for especially compared to my old unit. I can pack more weight in there than I should....so more room=more crap in my case. I haven't really used the unit enough to sort out much. Most of the inside is empty still.

Don't be judging the mess please.

Just got back in from checking it out, no one stole it, no flat tires, no mice, no water leaks, first long weekend trip of the year this weekend, I'm overdue!

Ya that's what sold me on the crusader was all the storage. We have the rear kitchen 5ver and there is so much storage. I love the storage areas on the outside too.

I checked the air pressure in the tires, put a new anode rod in, and pulled it up to the house so we can start getting ready for our first trip of the year. The weather is just to nice not to go camping this weekend!

Yikes!!! I don't envy you at all. Today we hit 80 degrees, but next week it's supposed to be upper 30's and raining. Gotta love the bipolar Texas weather

Well, not so much to the camper, although we did look at all the snow piling up around it.. . But today I can smell fresh-from-scratch-soup cooking on the stove. The DW is home from Al Udeid (in Qatar) and after 6 months of not so good food is cooking up a storm. Sure is good to have her back, and time to plan a trip when the snow melts.

Thank your wife for her service and glad she made it home safe and sound.
Also glad she is back and feeding you. Would hate to have you starve and all.
