Installed a few cig lighter type outlets and thought that might be the cause even though they weren't in use. Nope they are good.

Had batteries test, they are good.

Thankfully a kind friend with a volt meter helped me out. Was getting a major draw even with everything turned off. Based on fuses it was a string off lights at one end of the camper. Started pulling lights, removed couch and anything else possible to check for a bad wire.

We guessed it might be under the couch that slides out, movement near lots of wires. Come to find the wire to slide motor were bare and touching. Tapped them up and think we are good. Charged batteries back up and now sitting unplugged at home and seems ok. Going boondocking this weekend for 5 days...fingers crossed

It wasn't fun and I think there is more to be done. Charged batteries and unhooked shore for a day with nothing running and crappy gauge lights went way down. Think there is more to be done.... thinking the stock meter is shot and causing volt alarm when really batteries are fine. Leaving tmrw for 5 days boondocking... not gonna be fun. Might just unhook batteries all weekend.

Good solution. They gave me $3 after mail in rebate so I bought 5...assuming I get the rebate it covered the shipping and then some.

I stayed with the "E" rated tires but only in the GY Endurance. Did not replace the spare as it was manufactured the last week of Sept 2015, I'll take my chances that I won't need it.
Not that my luck will hold but our last camper only lasted us 21 years, had two sets of tires "rot" off but never a "blow out". Had to replace both sets due to separation, tread almost got away before I noticed how bad they were. Had one flat in all that time. Of course we didn't travel as much with it as we were working most of that time. We haven't gotten too far from home with this one but in eight months of ownership we have managed to put 6000 miles on it.
Leaving for about ten days next week, that should be another thousand miles by the time we get home. I'm really anxious to see how these tires tow along with the fact that Lippert Ind finally got it aligned for us.

Not "to my camper" but for my camper...

I have been looking for a lightweight table to place next to my grill but most I have found are too flimsy, too heavy or too many steps to open or fold.

Found an old 70's style fold up, vinyl covered table at a garage sale for $5.

The table top was warped and torn so I removed it and used it's outline to cut a new top out of a plywood veneer (which I had leftover from the camper remodel). Sealed it, screwed it down and put several coats of polyurethane over screws and all.

Now I have a very light table that is easy to set up and take down. Best of all it fits with a couple of inches to spare into my outside basement compartment door.

Stopped by the trailer today and loaded the cables into the bags. They fit with room to spare. Could probably put a dog bone or 2 into the bag at the same time. Glad I saw the ad and picked them up!

Finally got my GY Endurance tires on the tt. Use one of the GY tires I took off tt and mounted as spare as the tire place said it was still in good shape. Later RJD

Replaced analog thermostat with digital.
Paid mobile tech to replace converter, and in doing so discovered 2 mouse nests. One in kitchen drawer, other nestled up against bad converter.
Vacuum, disinfectant, two dishwasher loads and one wash load later I'm ready to move things back in as we pack for a 7 day, 1600 mile trip to San Diego and Camarillo, California to deliver youngest grandchild back to her family after a too short visit.

Mines wasn't too bad but only in a few places so what I did is make sure that my rag was wet or damp and it came right off. I had a little bucket of water and I dip the rag when I need it, the funny thing is that it went fast. I did the whole trailer plus clean all of my window in just over four hours.

But of course my wife told me to just do half today and the other half later, so when I got home from doing it she beat me like really bad

Had to replace the on-board water pump because my fresh water tank kept filling up when I was hooked to city water. I tried all of the known cures, like running the pump and checking for trash, but it was over 4 years old so just replaced it and everything is ok. we are on the second month of our four month trip so this was a good fix.

When I threw away my china bombs for LT tires last year (right after I brought it home), I DID upgrade the spare as well. (Five new wheels and five new tires.)

I did not see the logic in replacing tires I knew were junk, only to trust those same junk tires as a spare when I might need it most.

If you have a flat and need to use the spare, you will not be happy if that China bomb goes off and leaves you stranded.

I forgot to take pics but I had to remove and re-install the plexiglass skylight over my shower this weekend. I noticed that one side was hanging down below the plastic cover, almost like it had been cut too short on that side.

So I took the whole thing down and discovered that the plexiglass had literally slid over about half an inch. Apparently the double-sided sticky tape that was holding it in had melted slightly and since the cover is tapered to one side, it slid over.

So I spent a good hour with a scraper and some WD-40 getting all the old sticky tape off the cover and the plexiglass. Went out and got some Gorilla double-sided mounting tape and put it back on.

Put it all back together (all the screws were properly placed so they went into wood rather than air. Imagine that! ) and it looks good as new.

added a new storage pass though light in the front compartment.
and finally added a pull down lanyard for the bug netting wall since it was 7 feet to the pull down and I'm 5'8" tall standing on level ground and was lucky to jump up and haul it down (well actually unlucky enough to do that because I
went through the screen Saturday pulling it completely out of the roller mechanism.
Had to have a few adult beverages to determine plan of attack in repairs on Sunday.
got it working in one piece without a huge misalignment.


Next week we will look at trying to add more electrical outlets in the living room and maybe move the middle of the room light switch for the toy compartment.
