But in typical lead acid batteries, you shouldn't take them down less than 50%. More than that damages them. So while it may be called a 100ah battery, at most you can only use 50% of that.
You can use more, but if you do so you will reduce the lifespan of the battery.

The only real question I have is elevation and the problem is, I won't be in any elevation until October when I plan to need it. We'll be in Albquerque at 5'000'. So, it'll be do or "die"!

I've used a single EU2000 all over NM, including elevations much higher. Don't use eco mode.

My pointer: turn off the breakers to the other circuits. It's the best way to ensure you don't overload the generator.

The converter and battery charger can draw 500 watts on my wattmeter when charging the battery. A 45amp charger is 45/12v. Do the math to AC. The lights are nothing and neither is the radio or CO alarm.

Hhmmm. The results look just like what I did to my front cap of the 5er and my entire boat. I bought it by the gallon @ Home Depot. It's called Zep Wet Look Floor Polish. The shine and protected finish is indescribable.

It doesn't have anything to do with marketing.
From the engineering viewpoint, the capacity is how much energy's stored in the battery.

From an operations viewpoint, there are limitations on how much energy you can routinely extract without causing damage.
Unfortunately, the rats nests on wheels that we're dealing with approach batteries and battery management in an incompetent manner.
They sell us the rigs with batteries designed for starting rather than deep discharge and, as such, are not rated in Ampere hours.

Factory installed monitoring systems are grossly inaccurate.

Factory installed charging systems are by reputation neither reliable nor well designed.
Therefore, in the 21st century, the user community, few of whom are technically inclined, blunder about attempting to understand and manage battery systems seemingly designed in the 19th.

It darn skippy does. They could sell us on the usable power, but instead sell the total power.

Just the same as engine HP vs rear (or front or whatever) wheel horsepower. It's a bigger number, and "we" like that.

Otherwise, I completely agree with what you said about the technology and blundering people. I'm an engineer and am still learning what my victron battery monitor means...

Strippers are quite expensive.
And generally a little messed up in the head. Not that I have experience in that area.

No, stripper isn't necessary and actually I didn't use it. I only had it just in case I messed up spraying the wax on. I did 3 coats on the boat and the chalkiness is gone and it shines unbelievably.
I did a test spot first on the 5er by applying by hand in one spot. Final application I sprayed it but it is prone to run if you're not careful. No big deal, just have a dampened with wax lint free rag ready to give it a light wipe. Spraying isn't necessary but I was looking for ease of application. Spraying it on gives an actual protected skin of wax. I just did a 1200 mile trip and any bugs that were on there rinsed off.
And for your final question the gallon was around $35. I did the cap with a little over half of a pint. The boat on the other hand took a little under the gallon but I sprayed the heck out of every square inch inside and out.

Same thing as the hard drive space issue of years back. 2 ways to measure hard drive space (1024 is a clue) and the larger number wasn't real. There were lawsuits and all.

Do a search on YouTube there are all kinds of videos. One dealer did a Bounder and the results are unreal.
Oh and wear gloves. It's a watery salution but dries on your skin and fingernails and leaves a durable shine. The stripper on a rag gelled it up and took it off no problem. The gallon off stripper was far less money, I just can't remember how much.

I replaced the tongue jack on the R-Pod today, a RAM 3,000# static, 2,000# lift.

Noted while installing that the threads on the four year old mounting bolts were rusty, replaced them and greased the threads on the new bolts.

Bedded the jack in non-leveling Dicor sealant because I'm fussy and don't want water getting between tongue and jack.

The replacement jack came with a foot; it had a sticker saying to remove the foot prior to towing. I can't imagine a rationale for that.

Noted that the foot was constructed so as to retain water. Drilled five 3/8" holes in it, one in the center and at the four corners, then repainted it.
