Got on the roof to check where my water in the kingpin area was coming from and think this might be my culprit:





Now to decide on a fix. I either add a bunch of dicor over top or pull it and replace the dicor or replace it with Eternabond tape.

I removed the old dicor, used eternabond 4", then put dicor around the edges of the eternabond.

Towed it to a new storage home. Friend of mine offered a spot at his house... Less worried about some chucklehead breaking into it. My buddy is a retired police officer, and you can't see my trailer until you drive back onto his property.
Also gave me a chance to see how my new TV handled the trailer. 30 miles over x-way and various side roads. Neither the DW nor I could tell the difference between the old and new trucks.

We did the same with ours last year, but I used wood instead of steel.






Of course, the panel doesn't get much sun in that valley. This spring I am going to swap the locations of the battery box and the propane tanks.

I noticed a little drip outside underneath all of the internal plumbing. I isolated it to a leaking OEM shark bite fitting. Cleaned everything up, dried it out, and went to Lowe's to pick up a crimper, some fittings and clamps. While I was there I figured I'd pick up a small toolbox to replace the Tupperware container I've been using to hold my tools. Got the leak repaired and then I organized my tools and cleaned out the junk drawer.

I went with 6" eternabond over the existing dicor and haven't looked back. We had a large gap like that where our cap met the roof and felt the eternabond was a good long term solution.

Was it a SharkBite brand barbed crimp fitting or a SharkBite push on fitting?

I only ask because I've not seen an OEM SharkBite push on style used from the factory.

I'm guessing use of the term Sharkbite simply meant PEX.

X2. All the fittings I've seen are crimp sleeve PEX.

Sharkbite connectors are expensive so the factory would not use them. They are very easy to use to make sure you don't have leaks because you just push them on. If doing in bulk maybe better you get the crimp tool but for one off connections the extra few dollars is worth it to not have to buy a crimp tool with pex because a single connection for even $2 more is less than the crimp tool. Even plumbers use them in retrofit simply because of ease of installation (no fires sweating pipes or issues with glue drying and having to pressure test).

Sharkbite connectors work with all kinds of plumbing from pex to PVC to copper. I don't know about steel.

Sharkbite is a brand for push on connectors (like Kleenex is for tissue) so there are other brand of push on solderless or glueless connectors.

Y'all are quite correct. It is a Sharkbite brand PEX crimp fitting. I wasn't aware there were push on types available for plumbing. In any case, six hours on and no leaks! 😎

I towed her home 250+ miles from the dealer after a 2 month stay for warranty repairs.
New entry door, screen door and frame, new water heater ignition module, removed the plug blocking the gray tank drain, new window shade, new drawer handle, slide cleaned, lubed and adjusted, new a/c vent cover, tongue jack repaired and an interior door frame was repaired.

Not me, but my father-in-law mounted our outdoor kitchen’s microwave inside, installed a door look on the 1/2 bath’s sliding door, and secured a cabinet to the wall in the bunk room (L bracket into a stud) that tips when driving.

I still need to deal with the roof sealant thing...

Don't put this one off too long Doug unless you are 100% sure it isn't going to rain. While you may only be seeing water leaking at the lower front cap now, I can assure you water is getting in other places where you really don't want it to be.

Yeah, I hear you. Fortunately we’ve been without rain since I found this.

Worst case, I have a few feet of Eternabond that I can cut a piece and slap on there if rain is forecasted.
