I drilled an access hole in my TV plate today and ran a new TV wire to a new outside plug. By removing a panel, I had great access to do the wiring.
My new Dish Tailgater and receiver need a direct line (no splitter). The tailgater "Sat" worked on the first try. I sure like it.
When I recently ordered Dish TV service, I had them leave an extra receiver for the TT. The cost is $7 a month.

What did I do to my camper today?

I slept in it. I'm now 9 days into an open ended trip that is estimated to last at least a month and cover almost 4000 miles of the Western States (10 of them). No schedule, no deadlines, no reservations. If I find a spot I like I may stay a while and move on.

No more projects until parked back on the pad at home. To busy enjoying the fruits of my earlier labor.

What did you do to your camper today?

Flushed the anti-freeze out of all the lines, cleaned her all up on the inside... Hooked up the water, filled the refrigerator and spent the weekend camping!
Oh, and found these little eggs while cutting all the grass...
( yes we are setup full time, we own the lots )

And I started a diagram for my battery bank + inverter installation. I want to do some things differently this time. Better protection of the batteries, less mess with wires, and the ability to add solar charging later.

Look at battery post fuses. Nothing cleans up wiring faster.

I have a 33’ travel trailer and only use 1 and i can really tell when camping. I do not use in driveway and I can tell, it is one of the best accessory that i have purchased.

Good place for my temperature sensor

Busy day yesterday....

Started the dewinterization process. Empited the pink stuff and put the sanitizer in. Will flush and refill after work today. Flushed the HW tank grit out.

Changed the batteries on the propane sensors and control board. Also pulled the tanks to get them filled for the season.

Installed OC's awning brackets. Poles are in the paint shop (aka DW in backyward). Had to modify the bottom retention bracket slightly as the painter pole is just a fraction too wide.

Installed the hose quick connects. Installed new sewer caps with handles to make removing and replacing easier.

Wife did a top to bottom inside clean and started the reloading process.

Stuff still left to do:

New shoes arrived last week while I was out of town. Mobile tire guy will be here Friday to install them with steel stems.

Progressive EMS
Micro Air
Sewer hose carrier
Replacing white Maxxairs with black ones (purely for looks)
TPMS

Sure there is more I am forgetting...

Had to move spots here at the campground so we could be next to friends and took advantage of their trailer wash. Coin-operated car wash but with long extended hoses and long handled foam brush.

I won’t win any awards for the job I did, but I’m happy to see it cleaned up.

Oh nice! Sideways AND upside down pictures. That’s rad.

In-laws driveway for a couple of days, then Gettysburg Farm near Dover, and then Circle M. We’ll be having a huge yard sale if you want to come buy my crap.

Afterwards, we roll out to Ohio, Niagara Falls, and then we aren’t wholly committed. I want to hit the PA Grand Canyon, NYC, Philadelphia, the Jersey Shore, and then we need to head back to York for my niece having a baby in September.

And then Orlando very early in October provided my niece has her baybay in September.

Not many places to stay around NYC. Check out this thread:

Liberty Harbor is closest, but my experience (post #19) wasn't great. (Note: The date was 2001, not 2011.) And Puerto Rico day is June 10, 2018 this year.

That's part of why I haven't made firm plans there yet. I'm not crazy about the cost of Liberty Harbor (surrounding area + poor behavior aside). I want to do 2 weeks there.

BUT, I'm also not enthusiastic about spending 90-120 minutes commuting into the city each day. Much more than an hour and my wife complains about the time spent in the vehicle.

Any plans to visit our side of the border? Your wife would love Niagara-on-the-Lake and you'll love the drive to get there from the Falls. The kids would like a visit to the Great Wolf Lodge (indoor waterpark) and the Butterfly Conservatory - both are located on the drive to Niagara-on-the-Lake. I can also recommend a really nice family restaurant called "Betty's" on Sodom Rd. just a few minutes south of the Falls.

Camp further out and take a train into the city or a bus. That is the only way. Traffic is nuts and parking is worse. Too easy to wind up in the wrong part of town driving.
