Haha, thanks if I were wearing my QA hat I would have cut it and did it again. But I was getting rained on and the thunder and lightning were moving in. I was an AD and wrenched on H-3, H-60's, H-2 and a little on the H-1. Today was the first time I actually safety wired any thing since I retired in 05. Harbor Freight has cheap safety wired plies that actually work. Lol

I think I still have the set I took with me when I mustered out. Probably pretty rusty.

Or any dealer. I trust my fixes more than theirs any day of the week. Yours too, from what I see.

H-3's, 1971-74.

We had these, but most places you couldn't use them.

Just booked my winter space in downtown Miami next to the zoo, it has taken 7 years for a spot to open, great location at the Larry and Penny Thomason CG, you are allowed to book a year in advance there, so it's really impossible to get in. Good rates at 500.00 plus per month for Miami and Florida.

Makes my fingers hurt just thinking about all the times I got poked and cut with safety wire. I think it prepared me for blood sugar pricks later in life.

What did I do today?
I looked out at my TT and realized that it's been sitting on its pad for over a month without moving. Going to rectify that next week. Holiday rush will be over so the dog and I are going to go camping.
No more projects for now, just relaxation and enjoyment.

I consistently wore double hearing protection so that droning isn't so bad.

The crap we had for hearing protection on the flight deck in the 60s was slightly better than window screen. Basically rock and FOD strainers.

Congrats, love it there! I'm surprised it's so cheap.

Not sure if it matters to you, but the pool wasn't open during the week in the winter months when we've been there.

It was only slightly better in the 80's but I was able to get a custom pair of fitted ear plugs and with the standard Mickey mouse ear protection on the cranials I managed to keep most of my hearing in the 20 years I was in. The DW may disagree.

That's selective hearing.

The pool opens daily starting Nov.1st except Monday's, they close it off season except on weekends April to November, they really cater to snowbirds, that's why it's so hard to get in. Literally someone really has to die to get a space, hate to say that, but like I said it took me 7 years on there waiting list. They reserve that whole park between Dec and April. It's a dade county park For Snowbirds.

I added two fire extinguishers. I mounted them inside the propane access doors on each side of the fifth wheel. Click image for larger version

Good idea, but I would mount them in a different location, if your bottle catches on fire, you wouldn't be able to reach it. I hope you never have to try.
