That orange spot at the top of the first photo is where they BOTH broke off. Not sure why they come from the factory with a single point of failure.
Found a trailer shop that mounted them on the tongue seperately which I had been meaning to get to but was forced to here and now or have no chains.
I then had to mess with the hitch WD bars for another 30min trying to hook up because a pin sheared off and the bar would not move up or down on one side.
Worse things could happen so I feel lucky and it only took 2 hrs out of a day where I had time. Attachment 179483Attachment 179484

Had a similar issue; but because my chains were too short. Just had longer ones put on. Should have had them attached to each side, but I wasn't really thinking about it at the time.

It's concrete, don't want to cut it and have a step down in my shop floor. Think I'm going to try to raise the door opening by about 8 inches, remodel the door itself.
I worked at the concrete company when I built the shop, the floor is 6 inches to a foot thick in places, cost wasn't a consideration at that time.
Too hot right now to work on it, 90's, not doin it.

Getting new Goodyear Endurance tires on the mini today. Will check and grease the hubs while wheels are off. Also have a Lippert Jack-it bike rack that needs to be installed, so that will be the next thing done, maybe tomorrow.

I may be sitting at the wrong angle but it seems it hit the fiver higher than that! Adjusting for poor eyesight, 13 ft 10 in... nah!

Your eyes aren’t deceiving you. The sign says 8’10” or 2.7 metres. Here are the warning signs he passed before hitting that bridge.

In the morning all my tires were uniformly low, 73 vs 80. Aired them all back up to 80. It was significantly cooler in Las Cruces last night than at home is the reason Im sure.
WE had to wash our camper with a wet rag after getting stuck in a NM/AZ dust storm on I-10. There were plenty of warning signs about what to do in the event of one...................we even saw it coming. It was kicked up by a large thunder storm.
Semis, cars, even a Border Patrol SUV pulled off the road. We had never seen anything like it. When we entered it visibility went from miles to mere feet. We could barely see the white line on the road two feet directly in front of the truck. It was BAD!
We followed the signage instructions, Pulled off the road, turned off truck, feet off the brakes and waited. It lasted about 15-20 minutes and then dissipated.
It left a dust film on the truck and camper. The truck I took to a car wash, the camper I had to use a rag and water. The campground we are in (Kartchner State Park, AZ) will not allow camper washing due to water conservation, so I used a towel and bucket of water to keep rinsing it.
NOT perfect, but MUCH better than it was.

Your thumb rule is fine but I normally use a conversion app on my phone, especially if it's close.
Five Man Electrical Band, a one hit wonder. Signs, signs, Everywhere there's signs, breakin up the scenery, blowin my mind. Do this, don't do that. Can't you read the signs.
Apparently, that driver could not.
Tesla, the metal band, did a good cover of "Signs" in the 1980's.

Has it been more that a couple of weeks since you last used your Wally?
We were going crazy trying to get ours to work then went into our account and read where we had to refresh the wally to the account if we had not used it within the last 2 weeks.
Something simple, but if you don't know, then it is frustrating!

I just searched and found the Tesla versions of Signs... then the original...
I was born in 1944. I had just graduated from college in 1971. I still am that long haired hippie! I just searched, found and listened to two songs from my past.
On the other hand, having taught school for thirty three years... what was he thinking!

Note that putting screens on your water heater and furnace officially will void your warranty (apparently no issue on fridges). So if you end up having an issue, take them off BEFORE taking pictures. Unofficially, they are fine as long as you keep them clean.
It's a safety issue. If dust, spider webs, etc. get on them, it can create a back pressure and you get CO in your coach.
