Things I got done today...

  • Got our Weber Q converted over for house propane
  • Installed battery disconnect switch
  • Installed a second propane port so we can run the outdoor stove and our Weber Q at the same time.

Sure, approx 12' inside wall height; 30' width; 27' depth; anchored with 12 approx 36" rebar pins into concrete footer in some places and soil in other.

A marine bilge pump, hose inlet and a old lamp cord with a switch. It plugs into the SAE plug on my battery I use for trickle charging.

I need some help and clarification on the Hengs Outside Vent that I need to replace.

This is my second time that I ordered or thought I was ordering a new Black Exhaust Vent for my 2008 Roo 183.

1- Did they stop making this style cover or did they replace with a new
model/design?

The first one that I ordered from Amazon / 3rd party Seller I thought they sent me the wrong item, because it does not look like the image at all. The holes donít line up.

I ordered from a different online RV Retailer and received the exact same thing.

2- Is it me that Iím ordering the wrong thing? Am I using the wrong word for the part that I need? Am I a newbie here, so if I am please forgive me! Lol.

Iíll attach what Iím looking to replace. All the pictures that I find online look EXACTLY what Iím trying to get and no luck.

Thanks very much!!!

Is this what you ordered? I replaced that model (except mine was white) on my 2010 Roo and need to replace the same white one on my current TT.

They sent you the wrong part then. Send it back for a refund and try another supplier if you canít find one locally.

It looks like your getting an over the oven fan discharge vent, which is horizontal.
I think you want a vertical air flow exhaust vent.
Maybe like this?

I looked at ours as I go to help my cousins in wheat harvest.

Told the wife that with the drama we have with the granddaughter living with us
I think the cat and I will go camping when harvest is over. Days living with a sixteen year old, makes going back to works sounds good.

Not really, after 6 1/2 years of retirement, work is a dirty word.

Spoke to Heng’s in regards to the exterior vent cover. Last year they discontinued making this and re designed it to what I received. Yes the holes don’t match up. You have to patch them and drill new holes.

Their number is 866-387-1956 if anyone needs it.

I found something similar that looks more durable. It might be more narrow. I’ll have to check when I get home.

If you call etrailer, they'll probably measure everything for you (width, height, hole dim's). They did that for me for a 7-pin connector once. On a Sunday, no less. Great company to deal with.

I installed a 3 way valve to back fill my water tank. Took 20 minutes and a $17 way overpriced valve. Now it fills in 15 minutes instead of 25 minutes with a garden hose.

Three way valve. How and to what is it connected?

Source of valve? Any other fittings? Any time I can save ten minutes, I can. I can use the time drinking wine at the camp ground.

The 3 way valve is similar to the ones on the bypass on the back of your water heater. $17 on amazon. (Over priced)

Elkhart Supply 28910 RV Trailer Camper Fresh Water 3-Way Valve 1/2" barb.

Also, a 1/2" PEX Tee, 6 PEX Clamps and a short piece of PEX hose, a PEX crimper from amazon.

Put the 3 way valve inline in your city water line and hook the odd port with a piece of PEX hose to a Tee in the line from the water tank to the pump.

With the city water hose on, turn the valve to supply the tank Tee. Be sure to remove the fill cap and stop filling at the first sign of spillage out of the tank fill.

You need to think the water flow through the valve carefully to get the flow direction correct on the 3 way valve.

It needs to connect the city water inlet to the side port in the fill position.Click image for larger version

Many (most?) of us don't have 3-way valves on our water heaters. We have 3 separate 2-way valves.
