Looks great but be careful, we use ours on a table next to the RV and the grease splatter is terrible to get off. At least on ours it was.

Me too. I used a citrus degreaser to clean it after camping now.

I installed a couple pneumatic supports for the storage over the microwave and refrigerator. The bottom of these cupboards are over 6’ off the ground, so having some assistance to keep them open is welcome. Picked up at Home Depot.

Replaced the compression gasket between AC and trailer. Looks like the old support pads compressed enough to allow a slight drip to slip past the seal. Caught it in time before any real water damage could occur.

Used the Camco 14x14 kit. Not convinced that the seal material is as good as OEM, but time will tell.

Damn sure an awkward job with one person. Trying to reseat the unit was...tricky. [emoji16]
Oh, and being 9,000 degrees out with the double whammy sun reflecting off the roof was a real treat. [emoji3062][emoji481][emoji481][emoji481]

Can someone recommend super sticky Velcro?

I have some tablet mounts for the car and they have a rubber spider thing to hold the tablet and Velcro to the headrest. Anyway, the spider causes us all sorts of issues.

I'd like to just stick some Velcro to the case that I already like (instead of not using a case at all). I need good/permanent stuff though.

The Command brand makes some velcro-like strips that seem to work really well. They actually "click" together. The package says they can hold up to 4 lbs.

I've used them on picture frames at home and they seem to hold up well over the years.

It turned out the Emergency Disconnect cable had gotten pinched under the left rear corner of the Fifth Wheel leg and caught it. Well, Lesson learned.

I bought a 4' coiled cable for the Emergency Brake but it proved to be too short to reach all the way back to the handle where I previously connected. (a 6' cable would have reached all the way back)

My fix was to install a stainless 1 1/2" U Bolt with 14/20 threads on the same leg as caught he previous cable.

Works perfectly. I can still reach over the bed and connect and disconnect the cable easily

Thank you. my 38 5th wheel did the same thing twice this spring and I removed and replaced the cable with the same sort of unit. no issues past that point.

No kidding! It was a bit of a rush job since I found the leak Friday night and wanted to correct asap since, at that time, we didn't know how much rain we'd get from Hurricane Dorian.

Added an iPad holder (office wall mount magazine/file holder from Wal mart) and bought a second reading in bed pillow while I was there. Great for leaning against the dinette wall for lounging or watching television.

I trouble shot the issue with the Satellite Dish and TV having NO signal.

It had been working perfectly before then all of a sudden, nothing.

I started by pulling the coax through a window directly to the receiver and it was fine. Then I tried to connect the cable to the input of the splitter that was installed to provide signal to both other locations in the camper At the factory.

It turned out that the splitter went bad. I never heard of that before but it happened.

When I took the splitter out of the system, used just a single male-male coax butt connector it worked perfectly.

Lastly I connected the Dish Tailgater to the outside input to insure that connection worked too. Voila like magic it worked.

Took about an hour, but no more of DW chewing on my ear when she can't watch her Saints play!

Got in and installed a Zinus 6" narrow twin mattress in the lower bunk. Stacked the old thin mattress on the top bunk. Both bunks have 2" foam pads on them.
I was tracking the Zinus mattress on Amazon was $80 last summer, jumped to $160-170 last winter, back down again this summer? Weird!

Spectrum tech found a bad splitter at the house after close lightning strike, like you i did not think the could go bad.

Splitters these days usually have capacitors, diodes and sometimes choke coils or ferrite rings inside. Voltage spikes can kill the capacitors and diodes and lightning definitely counts. In the old days the splitters were just a direct connection or maybe had just a blocking diode.

Talked with a Cable tech a few months ago when he was doing some work on the house lines. He replaced every splitter he came in contact with (had a bag of them in his pouch). He said they fail often, and it's easier to just switch them out instead of testing and tracing.
