We had a mouse (or mice) get into our camper over the summer. We never keep food in the camper, but we don’t necessarily do anything else to try to keep mice out during the summer. They didn’t do much damage, just chewed some towels, but they were there.

The mouse freaked my wife out. So, first thing I did was try to find all the cracks and crevices where they might have entered from and seal them using low expansion spray foam.

In the winter, we’ve used moth balls in the camper. Some claim they work, some claim they don’t. This year, we bought Fresh Cab at tractor supply and put it throughout the camper.

We also bought a 1 gallon spray at Home Depot you spray around the perimeter of the trailer. It’s active ingredient is peppermint oil. It’s supposed to keep mice out of a house, hope it works on the trailer!

There are places such as tunnels and others where running the frig on propane is prohibited. That is another can of worms about whether to run frig on propane or not. I have always traveled with ours on propane without any problems in several different campers. Just my thoughts and I know others have diffetent opinions on the subject. Anyway, back to the scheduled programming errr thread topic.

My TT is parked on my asphalt driveway; I'll pick up mothballs and spray at HD and coat the perimeter. Thanks for the tips

She didn’t see me typing it. She’s my ex-wife. I haven’t seen her since the divorce hearing in 2000. But I’m serious when I say it keeps pests away. The dog wouldn’t eat her lasagna. And her cooking was the best part of being married to her.

Climbed on top, put the cover on. Put the wheel covers on. It's all settled in for a nice winter's nap.

Since there’s not a thread for bemoaning past marriages I won’t say anything more. Trust me... it only gets worse.

I put her into her new covered home! I have been looking for some time for covered storage close to me (caves are 45-60min away) and someone finally built a new one as all the others have been full for a long time.

In the spring they are adding a dump station too so that will be nice for when not staying at a CG.

Since this is self park side by side and not perimeter parking I added another trail camera for the purposes of documentation.

The 1000ft of gravel all around should help to keep the mice away so long as no neighbors bring them in with them. Click image for larger version

Finally finished recaulking the potential problem windows with Proflex RV. That stuff is thick. Was 3/4 done when the cold front rolled through: temp dropped from 74 to 54 real quick. I had been sweating on the step ladder, ended up chilly (wearing shorts).

Also got the wiring and prep done to install the rear view /backup camera. It's been tested and works. Will do the final mounting in a few days when I return to the storage lot to check the caulking (trailer is under a roof).

But if that all goes well we will wake it up early and head south towards the end of March.

Used the camper over the weekend as a place to sleep while we went to Ren Faire, while using I filled the fresh water tank since it had the potential to freeze and the pump cycled on and off. The water pump is the front, so is the bed = no sleep.
Got it winterized last night, no fun in the dark and with the pump not working correctly.. going to the shop later to be repaired and the awning replaced.

Not my camper but the neighbors I;
Winterized
added vent cover
added front stabilizers (dealer had placed two in the front but not bolted in for display, only rear came with it).
added LED lighting in cargo bay
installed articulating TV mount

He has a starcraft 18M (I think).

Cleaned it up good, put it up until March. Put a cover on it also. It came with the TT.

It is supposed to get below freezing for about 14 hours so I got busy.

Got it totally winterized, all low points drained after blowing all the water out of lines. Filled traps with anti-freeze.

Hope it is not cold again two weekends from now when we have another camping trip planned to Palmetto Island State Park.
