Installed a 2nd A\C

Removed the old bedroom vent and installed a Dometic 13.5k. It was 2nd A\C prepped, so that part was easy. Took the time to aluminum tape everything in the ceiling for good flow, noise reduction and protection. A few small mods needed to be made to surrounding items to make it fit but nothing that was a big deal at all.

Now if I'll get to use it this year...

I went over the frame to touch a few minor surface rust spots, and installed a "Jack-it" bike rack.

I removed all 4 stabilizers because they were all heavily rusted. The paint on these peel right off! I'll try repainting them, but will probably replace them in a couple of years.

Installed three of these, one in bathroom, one in hallway, and one outside for when we forget to leave the step light on when going out in the evening. Hallway one is close enough to the door that it turns on when we open the door. Outside one is mounted with heavy velcro so it can be moved inside for travel. The batteries last more than a five month season, maybe two, don't know yet. I remove the batteries between outings.

Hello everyone,
New to this forum and not sure where to post this question.
I have a 2018 Forest River Salem Cruise Lite 171rbxl and I would like to upgrade the water heater from the original propane only one to a dual electric and propane. I tried To find some specs and models that would work for my trailer but canít seem to find anything. Does anyone know of a model number ( heard suburban is pretty good) that would fit? Any help and guidance in the right direction would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much for your time.

You should post the model number of the one you have. Total replacement seems a bit expensive.

The Camco Hybrid product promoted in that thread is supposed to have an anode for Suburban model propane-only WHs but it can’t be very big. If you opt for that just be sure to check the little anode frequently.

Finally got around to installing an outside power outlet and coax jack for the outside tv hookup. Wonder what designer decided it was a good idea to put those on the inside of storage compartment where you have to leave door open when hooked up to tv on side of camper. Dah! Also installed a Valterra sewer hose holder under back of camper. Wanted to make my own fence post one, but could not find one in black and just couldn't see a big white one under the all dark trimmed camper.
It is not as low as it seems in the picture. Camper is parked on a slope and it is actually higher than the stabilizer jacks (when up) that sit in front of it. Now just got to get it out camping soon! Click image for larger version

Installed a Furrion Vision S camera. Probably one of the easiest mods considering the camper came with the shark fin and wiring preinstalled.

Somehow bumped the bathroom sink cold water handle and let the sink run with a stopper in it and left the camper. Wife found it a few minutes later after it had overflowed into the floor.
While I'm cleaning it up, a storm comes through at sunset and knocked out the power.
That's been my fun evening.

Put in a new faucet in my bathroom sink. Easy job if you do it right the first time. Take it from me I know. Also changed out the baggage door catches. Have put in a new entry door window, motion lights inside the tt, sanitized my h2o lines with bleach, sanitized the grey water holding tank also. Put in a battery shutoff switch. Installed a rear camera adapter. Going camping in New Holland PA the 19th of May.

Changed the bright white awning light out. I prefer red light at night for night vision and less bugs. My wife likes blue to match the inside. So I installed this one. Click image for larger version

steelie

Today I mounted a steelie magnetic ball to the sidewall of the pickup box even with the gooseneck ball. Now when I am backing up to the trailer which has a goosebox pinbox, I can put the DW's phone on the ball, video call her, and watch as I am backing up to align the gooseneck ball with the hitch. The cargo camera gets it centered but doesnt have great depth of field. Now I can see when I am back far enough.

Overhead light cover

Sealed the skylight over the shower on my 2012 Rockwood Windjammer 3008. Condensation kept showing up inside so I figured it had to be a problem somewhere. I use TSP to clean up the existing material and scraped off the dicor sealant. It looked like the the problem was that the dicor didn't hold up on the plastic skylight. 3" eternabond tape was placed over the seams and rolled to a hopefully tight seal now. I wasn't sure but it looked like the skylight had a fracture right in the center that could have been leaking too. I covered it as well with a small patch. If I still get condensation I will try to find a replacement skylight.

I also need help to locate a replacement overhead lamp cover. The mounting came loose and the cover crashed onto the table and shattered. Any help on where to get the cover would be greatly appreciated. I guess I can't post a photo unless I use Tapatalk app. The cover is the one over the dinette table.

Been a while, but...

Installed z-shaped foam rubber weatherstripping around the front window trim, stuffed more R11 insulation behind the front cap. The gap isn't totally gone, but it's better than it was. The gap wasn't even, so the weatherstripping isn't perfect looking, but it's mostly functional.
