It was 1/4 inch my grandfather had acquired from a relative that passed away. He is a hoarder he might have needed it in the next ten years. Anyway it was free and got the job done.

Installed pass thru plug. Small thing, but very useful for me. If the campsite post has a 15 or 20 amp plug in addition to a 30 amp, I can plug an extension cord from the post to this port. On the other side (inside the toyhauler garage) I can plug something in that is not part of the 30 amp circuit. For me, this would be a portable (second) air conditioner for the Florida summer.

Consider incorporating a GFCI into that new circuit. Extension cords that include them are available.

Unless the CG took a shortcut and "piggy backed" their 20 amp circuit off the 30 amp. If they "borrowed" anything, I would hope they took it from the 50 amp if there is one.

Won’t happen. The 20/30/50 amp boxes are pre-wired when delivered for installation. Neutral and ground are shared by all three. The four hot wires (2-50, 1-30 and 1-20) are independent, sorta.

Because we use some kind of electric cooker during our camping trip I always bring a extension cord from the pole to the picnic table. This allows us to use the coffee maker, AC, and the microwave with no problem in the camper not having to worry about a skillet warming up. I do like adding the one to the side of the camper, this would be something I would dedicate to a small space heater or coffee maker. Any comments for drilling into fiberglass? Darn another project.

I think you will find the 20 Amp hot is run off the same leg as one of the 50 Amp, and the 30 amp hot is runoff of the other leg out of a junction box from the primary feed.

Our previous camper was a 30 amp service. Only problem we had was in the mornings when DW was running her hair dryer (Hot Humid S Louisiana summers NEED AC running). It tripped the 30 amp breaker either at the post or in the load center if the AC was running.

My solution was to install a GFI receptacle on the side of the vanity where the sink ws in the bedroom and run the cable to the pass through. I could connect a separate feed from the pedestal direct to that cord, removing the load from the camper system.

Worked perfectly.

If you follow the individual “hot” lines you’ll see they all come together at the entrance service box.

I saw a camper once that had an extension cord plugged into the outside receptacle next to the door and passing through a barely open window. I wonder how long it took to trip either the RV or the pedestal 30 amp breaker.

I added a 15/20 amp inlet on my TT last year. I put a duplex outlet connected to that near my inside table. I use it for my coffee maker and such.

Installed King Quest portable satellite dish and added a 2nd battery for running residential refrigerator while traveling to Gulf State park next week.

Moved our CO/LP sensor power source from the hot side of the battery cutoff to the switched side. Yes, I understand the safety concerns, but I want to use the cutoff switch to turn the battery on and off, and I don't want to kill the battery.


Since the emergency brake is powered only if the cable is pulled, I left that on the hot side of the switch.

The wife and I decided it was way past time to change the awning.
We purchased a new one back in July 2017 when our awning get a bubble in between the layers...
The original awning color never matched the camper anyway. We picked out a new awning that matched the camper.
It was a little tough with the wife and I the only ones doing it, could have had another set of hands, it was 90 degrees with very high humidity, I'm always working in the heat but the wife held her own and we got her done. It was a pain in the rear, but it looks 100% better now and it works great.

Im guessing you aer running an inverter off of the batteries to power the reefer.

How long can the battery keep the inverter powering the reefer?

Greetings fellow campers, I have been in this camper from 2008, I am setup full time and every year we have to cleanup the mouse dirt, I had a friend tell me about a product that keeps them away... I tried everything so I figure there isn't really anything that works, but I will try. I purchased some at tractor supple ( no idea where else they sell it) it is called Mouse Magic and it's under $10.00. It's been a month now, we have not seen any mouse dirt anywhere. So I'm sold. I used two packets, it doesn't really smell, I can't smell it at all. If any of you have or or had it, my question is how long does it last, my friend said about three months. The box just says last for weeks...
