The issue was this horrible flex hose with hand tighten ends that had bad seals from age. Rather than replace it I decided to do the plumbers thing and run the pex tubing all the way to the pump intake.

Did that and the pump would not pull the water from the tank to "Self Prime" as it claimed.

So I got creative. I installed a "Tee" in the pex near the pump with a straight 1/4 turn stop. I can get into the pass through, open the stop, suck the water from the tank to prime the pump, close the stop and the pump works again!

You can see the stop at the top of the vertical blue tubing.

Redneck engineering I KNOW but it works!
I always heard you want soft lines feeding and leaving the pump so that vibration doesn't get transferred down the lines. In fact, some people add even greater lengths of soft line than what comes with it from the factory.

Not worth attempting unless you have the proper tool

X2 on the proper tool. Used that eraser wheel all the time when I did body work. Takes weatherstrip glue & decals off slicker than you know what & doesn't damage paint/finish!

Well, it isn't exactly Arizona. More like North Carolina. I'll have to fix that. While trying to merge FR to tapatalk, screwed up the whole thing. I was in Alaska for an hour...thought I corrected that?
Anyway, it gets plenty cold here. Common low teens.
I'm hoping for a lot more travel next year...middle April and every few weeks after that.
Went "mud bogging" in a campground last week under TD Beta. Two weeks earlier at 4 Paws leak tested the camper with remnants of hurricane Sally. Fortunately, no leaks.
Had to move the camper onto the pavement in order to load the toy. Too wet.
Toy hauler garage makes a good picking room...6 of us in there.

I guess I'm staying in Arizona for now? Set it to NC and 'OK', see NC. Hit save, and back in Arizona. Whatever.
Part of my myriad issues probably relates to working almost always on a Galaxy S9+. Some web sites just don't like phones.

Smile NEW kITCHEN fAUCET

A few months ago one of the wonderful plastic handles on the kitchen faucet cracked and I had no luck in finding a replacement for it. You would think that it would be easy to look online and get one because i have seen a few post on the subject of the cheap faucets that are used in travel trailers and RVs, but no luck.
I finally had the time (and courage) to try to install a residential faucet. This is in a 2017 21ds and the accessibility is very limited. I could only reach the old fittings with one hand at a time and you really can't see anything from underneath. I had to use a plumber's wrench to get on the old fittings. Once I finally got the old one out I marked and drilled a center hole for the new faucet and wrestled it into place.
It took a lot longer and required more tools than i thought it would, but the final result is a much better faucet with a sprayhead!

The built in microwave the came with the RV stoped working I took it apart and checked out the fusses and determined that it was the control board.
Instead if buying a new built in microwave for $169 I went to Walmart and bought the same size Hamilton Beach Microwave.
And it turned out that all the screws on the cabinet was the same so I switched the new cabinet for the old one. Perfect fit and saved over $100Click image for larger version

Replaced the two frosted glass windows on the doors of the camper with Slim Shades. Really pleased with the result!

Just returned from our last trip of the year, so I parked it for the winter. Our weekends are booked for the rest of October, so this is it! Will be giving it a good scrubbing, winterize and cover it over the next few days.

Winterized it, got it all cleaned up and cleaned out for her winter rest. We will still go and stay a few weekends a month all winter long, we just will not use any water, paper and plastic. Use the shower house and everything is still good.
Happy camping to our Southern friends.

Got a trip coming up this weekend and the next one is a trip to Tampa area week after Christmas. Would like to get in one or two more before the end of the year. Couldn't camp in the Spring going to make it up in the fall and winter. NC doesn't get that cold in December, Jan and Feb are the only truly cold months.

I've done that 2 or 3 times. I don't even know where else I would get a replacement.

The last one I got was like $70.

TRIED to get water to my w/d hookup. First time It's been used, but NO water. The valves are open, water to all other faucets. Scratched head, looked at stuff. Not terribly productive.
