I wished it took 1 day :)

Sorry I don't have the picture from the damaged I received to my stabilizer jack from running over a piece of metal from my last outing. The repair finally got me motivated to repair the rust on the rest of my jacks. Hopefully it will last better than original.

WFCO replaced it with a brand new unit. I'm still under FR factory warranty and couldn't even get Cedar Creek to think about sending a replacement. They believed it could only be tested and installed by a certified R/V technician. Said if I tried to replace it, it would void my warranty on the entire 5th wheel.

I called WFCO, explained my issue. WFCO emailed a troubleshooting guide and in the last step it says if you get XXX, the inverter must be replaced. They had no issue with me following the troubleshooting steps and then sending a new one.

I'm REAL disappointed in CC service! There were LOTS of promises at the Tampa R/V show when talking to the factory reps about not bowing to the mercy of having to take it to a dealer (by doing my own work) and wait months but nothing said there has come to fruition.

Anyway... Happy Camping everyone!
Picker, x2 on WFCO customer service.

Mine was out of warranty, but they were very helpful in helping me diagnosis the problem. I ordered a new one and installed it myself, real easy change out. When I had my 5er at Orvan's, I was telling him what happened and as I was showing him I discovered my problem probably came from it sitting too close to the access door. So when I got it home, I moved it back away from the door so when the fan runs it won't blow back into the invertor causing it to overheat. Love the new WFCO 5110RS inverter as the fan doesn't run till there is about 2 amp draw from the battery. So when connected to shore power fan doesn't run when inverter is on standby..

Be safe -

Added a Heng's Vortex 2 fan and mounted the BoB (Big ol' Battery) in the under bed storage. Took the opportunity to add a Victron SmartShunt. I didn't love mounting it under the bed, but there's no room on the tongue.

Also, have a picture of a Belle modelling her new sunglasses.

It seems universal amongst trailer manufacturers and their franchise dealerships.

When all is said and done by dealership service departments about warranty issues, everything gets said but nothing gets done.

Many places have warranty issues when dealing with the end consumer. In addition to the we aren’t qualified believe, there is the fraud some would try to get over the company. Just read Monday at the tire shop. I’m not sure of the size town but it’s a very small percentage compared to those owning rv, car , fridge ect . If everyone could be honest , respect opinions different than their own. Might be a different story

I cut a hole in the front of the driver-side nightstand in our Cherokee 274vfk so that I could install a new water pump. I then fitted it with a cover so that access is easier in the future. Otherwise, it was a nightmare to try to get to the water pump. I also installed a new valve assembly in the old water pump so that I have a spare.

Nice job! I installed the same faucet in our shower. Just one word of caution....don't drop the soap in the shower! I learned afterward that one of 2 thinks can happen. If you bend over and hit the handle either the water will turn off or worse yet, the temperature will change!

Went camping locally. Discovered the kitchen sink cold water line leaking as it was barely finger tight on the faucet, found from water dripping out under the kitchen area. Higher pressure? Cause it never happened before.
I normally carry a lot of wood blocking for stabilizers, Jack and steps in addition to two packs of Lynx levelers/chocks. The site was sloped down on the door side so I ended up using all my wood and a full pack of the Lynx under the low side wheel. I have the step legs extended fully and still needed blocks under the legs. My free standing aluminum step came in real handy for the first step and it’s legs are also fully extended.

After 7 years I finally installed a wall mount TP holder. I had a screw break on the awning so I had to use an oscillating saw to cut the screw out. I then drilled and put in 3 screws to fix the issue.

Catching up but last week we bought a 10” Zinus memory foam mattress for our camper. Slept on it 4 nights and I’ve never slept so good on a camping trip before in my life!

I didn't think to take pictures of it, but I fixed the $@#%ing pocket door in my NoBo 19.2 yesterday afternoon. The tiny screws they used to hold it up slipped last weekend while taking the trailer up for a dry-camping run on the in-laws' property. Was a bit embarrassing to show it off only to notice the door had fallen off the tracks thanks to tiny screws and a fiberboard door.

It wasn't hard to remove the track slider hardware, and I used epoxy + way larger diameter drywall screws to put it back together.

For anyone who asks, I found this video -very- handy for fixing it, since Forest River uses the exact same hanging hardware:

Remounted my batteries to better connect them with 1/0 cables in parallel.
Mounted the 2000 watt inverter but didn’t connect it electrically, awaiting my 200amp circuit breaker.

Replaced our flimsy hanging shelves with a more permanent and spacious option.

I believe that those who own a business — or run one — generally see those who have integrity, people of substance who act and treat others with sound ethics… however few there are. I also believe that those owners or operators can usually see what is and isn’t a warranty issue, if sometimes only by the way people act — and can detect BRAVE SIERRA even before it’s expressed.

That doesn’t mean that I won’t dicker on price, if only to test the waters (I do my research!).

Cut another hole in the front driver side of the trailer and added a 15amp Marine outlet. Installed about 5’ of 12AWG SJOOW on it with a plug to plug into my inverter. Poor man’s inverter supplied shore power I’ll just run another cord from this outlet to the primary shore power jack via a 20 to 30 amp dogbone.
Side issue: got a cheaper electrical shunt via Amazon to meter my system. It comes with the shunt, display unit, and instructions. NO connecting wire! It appears to need four wire telephone wire for the connections. Try to adapt, make do or send it back?
