Took some stuff to Goodwill. Closing it up for travel. Hotel tonight, service center tomorrow for some mods (bunch of 12 and 120 outlets to be installed and antenna wiring ran from the roof to inside), and then getting to to Moab, UT on Tuesday.

Today was a day of tinkering with the 5er. Fixed the itching steps up to the MB area. Installed 1/2 bath door latch. Click image for larger version

I keep meaning to do this mod. I think my daughter would really appreciate it.

Yep, she's 11 and is about at that point where she is wanting her privacy. Living in the camper and sharing a room with her brother!

Got back yesterday from our weekend trip to St Augustine.
Installed the digital thermostat (replacing the analog one), which was delivered on Saturday, when we got back, so will test it out on our next trip in 2 weeks.
Also took out the interior trim around the bedroom vent to check for wires for installing fan... plenty of wires there, just no idea what's what there
I'll post pictures of wiring to get some input in my thread on fan install

Pulled a bunch of panels in the floor mounted cabinets and vacuumed out all the crap left in there during the assembly process. Tried to get a handle on the buzz in my surround sound. Turns out it's not the iRV entertainment center at all( I must have accidentally got a "good" one of those) it was the Toshiba 32" TV. So, I'll be asking the dealer to replace the TV set. I've noticed that my black tank almost always said 2/3 full. So, since I was sure it was well cleaned out, I filled it 5 gal. at a time to verify indicator lights. It read empty until I got to 10 gal. and then read 1/3 up to 15 gal. then it read 2/3 all the way up to the neck in the toilet and never gave a full reading. I'm getting my fixit list made up for the dealer to take care of before I put it away for the season .

You might have alrealready trid this but I had a buzz when playing my tv thru the surround sound with my IRV66. I called IRV and they suggested it was a ground loop because the tv is 120v and the IRV is 12v. I put a ground loop isolator between the tv and the IRV66 and the problem was solved.

Didn't try that although I've heard of it. You might be correct, however I had another TV, hooked it up and the buzz bent away

A slightly better solution to avoid the ground loop audio issue, is to get rid of the analog audio cables altogether, and use an optical audio cable from the TV to the back of the iRV-66.
Feeding the cable through along the path taken by the other cables was a bit of a pain (I used some coax-ax, which is much stiffer than an optical cable, to feed through, then attached one end of the optical cable to the co-ax and pulled it through).
The added benefit is that if the TV station broadcasts surround sound, you now get real 5.1, rather than just stereo/prologic from suitable TV broadcasts (mostly movies)

This weekend we packed up our fiver to travel for the first time since we bought it a year ago. Today it's being moved from our current seasonal site to our new seasonal site a few miles down the road.

I eliminate most of my buzz by partaking less in the adult beverages.

On another note more adult beverages seem to "drown" out any buzzing

The rear one is black tank for the 1/2 bath, and fairly easy to get to too, so I think I'd just leave that one alone.
That would mean that I'd just have three dump valves for the front hookup, and only need to switch to the other hookup for dumping the rear 1/2 bath (which gets less usage anyway, so doesn't need to be dumped as often)
We have the same set up as you, on our last trip saw a Rockwood Mini that had the 2 dumps connected. We're going to try that on our 8281. When ever possible we use a "Y" at the dump site so we don't have to move the hose.
Asked the owner about construction "he bought it that way"
Any ideas would be great.

Have a 2010 Rockwood 5er and hooked mine together. Kitchen gray is under slide and black and shower/sink gray just ahead of slide.
