Got the Tireminder TPMS installed and set up. Reasonably straight forward. Added 1\2 ounce of weight to the rims opposite the valve stems for balance. While installing the booster, I noticed that the battery hot leads as well as the propane line were rubbing on the frame. I used some old gas hose and tie wraps to make protectors for them.

Bought and installed a Danby washing machine. Top loader, but lid folds up for low clearance. Very quiet. Spins water out really well. Now to find a dryer.

Thanks! Yep, Danby 9cuft. It's been sitting in the hole for a couple weeks and I've been monitoring the temps. Constant 35 fridge and -10 freezer. And it recovers faster when you open the door. Secured it this weekend.

Home Depot and Walmart have them ship-to-store, mine came from Walmart.

Nothing to the camper but I got it a new TV. The F-150 was 600# overloaded when the entire family camps. The new F-250 has twice as much payload but the 6.2L gas engine sure is thirsty in comparison to the 5.4L.

Not to the camper, but my TV. I could never get the old brake controller, a Tekonsha Envoy, to act right. It either tried to throw me through the windshield, or apparently didn't help much at all. The initial application felt good, but didn't apply well after that. Plus, when set per Tekonsha instructions the gain was turned up near maximum. I'm thinking that just like turning a stereo up to max once past 85% funky things start to happen.

So I finally talked myself into a new Tekonsha P3. From all the reviews I've read it's going to be just the trick to get the fiver stopping like it should. I'm headed to the mountains in October, so it's time.

Cleaned roof with Dicor cleaner followed by application of Dicor roof protectant. Oiled output shaft on noisy Fan-Tastic Vent fan.

Picked up a Splendide 2100XC washer/dryer combo yesterday. Will be doing the install tonight.

Last week, I scrambled to get Schwintek motors overnighted to me. Yet again, my Schwintek slideout left me with a stuck slideout and unable to leave a campground. The mobile RV tech was saying that it likely was more an issue with installation- but going on my second slide with issues and yet again looking at having slides pulled to fix problems, I'm not sure I'll ever trust a Schwintek again.

We have decided to leave tomorrow and head into the storm unless it really turns bad. We have full hookup, a city to visit and rain ponchos. As long as the wind doesn't get too bad we are going to ride it out.

That's pretty well what we decided, go for it unless it gets too bad. I'm keeping an eye on weather reports often. We'll see how the weather in Madison, FL. is when we get there.

We are heading to Carolina Beach, we will be in it on Friday, unless the storm goes west (which it might) then we will be high and dry.

Replaced a very worn out vent cover this afternoon and started getting it ready for the trip to Cheaha Mountain this weekend.
DW is pulling together the tt hd list for me already!

Update... After a lot of searching we found a lake site available in the upstate of South Carolina. The storm was heading directly for the coast and we decided that being cooped up in the TT for the whole weekend was not a get away. Besides, who wants to be in a camper with 8" of rain and tropical force winds under trees. Now to call NC State Parks and move my beach reservation to next year.

When we used go on long trips I always ran 91 Octane in our 6.2, it makes a difference in power and mileage. I usually put the 91 in about 2 weeks prior to departing so the computer can start learning the new fuel. A couple years back I got an SCT Tuner and some 5 Star tunes, the latest ones they sent are quite amazing. We went on a 3 day trip running 87 octane in the rolling hills out here, I typically use manual mode for shifting and I rarely went below 5th and got almost 11 Mpg at 100kph.

Coolharts, I wish you the best for this weekend. Maybe the lake site will have a bit better weather than the coast. After looking at multiple weather reports and radars I've decided to wait until Saturday A.M. to leave for Madison, FL. But, I'm still keeping an eye on the weather and may just decide to postpone my trip. I'm sure the g'son's will not like that but they will get over it. Interesting that you state you can move a NC State Park reservation to another date. I camp at Georgia State Parks and have never heard of that but I will look into it. The site we are going to in Madison requires two (2) weeks notice of cancellation with forfeiture of one night fee. I'm going to call today (Thu) to ask about cancellation due to extreme weather conditions. The State of Florida has ordered a mandatory evacuation of RV parks along the coastal areas of the Florida Panhandle. That area is not far from where we are supposed to go. Good luck and have a great trip.

Thurman, they ended up closing Carolina Beach State Park campground starting at 5:00PM Friday due to the storm, all people with reservations were being notified. I wonder what the SC beach campgrounds are doing?

Reserve America would not move the camping date so I called the park directly. The person I spoke with was super nice, fully understood (this is before they decided to close) and made all of the changes for me. She must have done it on the Reserve America Site and I received an email. She said that if you have an emergency or other reason to change to call a park directly, they can issue vouchers and change reservations and have more flexibility than Reserve America. The good thing about vouchers is you can apply them to any other NC State Park. It may be a NC thing but you can talk to a Ranger at a GA park to see if they can do the same thing.

Good luck on your travels, we were just fortunate to stumble across this site at South Cove County Park in Seneca (Oconee County) SC.
