Propane Tank Security
I added a padlock to my propane tanks to make them more secure. I simply drilled a hole straight through the hold down handle and bracket and installed my lock through the hole. Now to remove the tanks you cannot simply unscrew the handle and raise the bracket....you must remove the lock first. I went with a longer shank (2-1/2" long) lock and one with a combination so I didn't add any more keys to my ring. This particular lock fit perfectly under the propane cover. Now I know these Master combo locks have an easy bypass method (look up on you tube) but feel it is secure enough to keep the common person out.

Winterized ours last week. I have to wax the front real good. We are going out to Pasadena California for the Rose Parade. Will be out there the 23rd of December till sometime around the 10th of January. Then to Quartzsite for a few days. I will be winterizing and dewinterizing several times after we leave there. Sure hope the roads back to Kansas stay good. Plan on being back around the first of February.

Its a kit for motorhomes. Ties into the propane line before regulator. Allows you to use the refillable tanks rather than driving the mh to refill on board tank.

sounds useful. I guess for my 5er I won't be needing it. but for anyone with a motor home it sounds like it makes your life a bit easier.

If you are in a cool/cold area for any amount of time, easier than moving MH. Even good if you are in a warm area for any length of time.

The kit I got also has a hookup for a gas grill. It would work off either tank in a mh or portable tank.

I have the extended stay quick connect after the regulator and before the hard piping into the trailer. I use a 123 gal LP tank for winterizing heat. I just turn off the 30s until needed. Want to camp? Unplug the electrics and the quick connect and roll tank away from camper......

Also I replaced the black tank valve. The cable broke at the handle.

My wife went Command Hook nuts yesterday. She hung a bunch of real small ones behind the bedroom door as a "jewelry box"; a couple for her Disney/Mickey Mouse ears; and a purse hook. She also started some purging of junk out of here.

Sort of my SOP too. I keep mine inside in a heated shop and it's shore powered so the fridge is on and I keep various 'beverages'. in it. Beats having a shop fridge.....
If I want a quick bowl of hot soup when working in the shop, I can make lunch for myself in the RV....

Not really something I did to the camper but we traded the 253RKS for a Grand Design Imagine Camper today. They are built so well and the layouts are so much nicer.
I will probably stay in the forum for all the tech and upgrade ideas.
