The old ones had an adjustable leg support on the bar going to the ground (made several of them for other people). The old ones are all .075 steel other than the attaching brackets, all the material in the new ones is 1/4" (alum or steel). Old ones are just flimsy even tho I had braced them back to the frame on both sides and added an X out of straps on the back. Quality and design of new ones is far better than the factory steps.

Torklift makes a pet safe backing for the steps, they velcro in and prevent the puppies from seeing through them and also prevents their paws from going to far. Works great, our big dog hated using our steps until we installed the Glowstwps and the pet safe backing.

Don't need the back because the old ones were open also, she slipped on the alum. step as she was used to the carpet on the old steps. She now uses these new steps just like the old ones. We like them a lot better, much more rigid and there is NO movement side to side or up and down when you step on them. Just put the old ones beside the dumpster in Fawn Ridge in case someone wants or needs them. Will let them sit there a couple of days and if they are still there when we leave Tues, I will put them IN the dumpster.

Bought some treated 2x10's and a 1x10 to park the trailer on in Florida since I'm leaving it there. Going to go cut them up in a minute. The left overs will be used to put under the jacks.
As heavy as those things are I wish I'd have just bought some lynx levelers.
Took the bar stools out yesterday since we don't use them, and taking 2 of the kitchen chairs out today.

Had 30 mph wind gusts all night and just a steady 4 mph with 10 mph gusts when I took these this afternoon. Love seeing Old Glory flying!

We saved our old steps for when the wife inevitably gets a new FL fifth wheel I can put the old steps back on and move the Glowstwps to the new one.

Don't have to worry about that, this 5er is our last camper. Probably another 3 yrs and we'll hang it up, that will make it 60 yrs of marriage and camping.
BTW, our old steps didn't last long by the dumpster, someone had latched onto them by 2pm today.

Started installation of a two gallon pressure tank to reduce water pump cycling frequency. First step was to reroute various wiring associated with the water heater to create some room. In the process I'm planning to relocate the water pump to reduce noise and make it more accessible for maintenance, particularly the inlet strainer.

I found with winterizing, if I run the pump first then blow out , no water in filter housing or

If you suck antifreeze in with the pump, the strainer should have antifreeze in it. If you only blow out the lines, the pump and intake side of the pump never get protected.

I don't use antifreeze in potable water lines. I disconnect the pump and run it to clear it of water.
As installed by Forest River, there's little clearance to remove strainer bowl to check for debris.
