Brought it home
My dad and I went and got my 2017 FR Salem Hemisphere Lite 356QB home yesterday. I couldn't make it up my driveway so it's parked at a neighbor's house until we sell our house on the 31st and move in.

As you can see here, you need a much larger tank if it's horizontal than if it's vertical.

And you shouldn't mount a tank designed for vertical in a horizontal position, and vice-versa.
So know what you're buying.

We finished packing our camper this morning at 4:00 A.M. before the wife and I had to take the kids to school and babysitter. This will be our 5th trip this year and our 3rd trip where the water is warm enough to get in so we are packing more water attire.
I also packed some tools in my truck to work on the camper, I haven't had time to do some minor cabinet door repairs, with our busy schedules and all. So I'll take a few minutes out of relaxing time and work on the camper at the camp ground.

I have nothing in this debate since I don't have a tank, horizontal of otherwise, but the statement above is completely the opposite of what the link says.
According to the link, the tank size is 100% dependent on the number of faucets.
"To select the minimum size tank, count the fixtures inside and outside your home, including showers, appliances, toilets, etc., and refer to the chart below:"
Below is the chart for horizontal and vertical.
4 fixtures = 14 gallon tank horizontal AND vertical
6 fixtures = 20 gallon tank horizontal AND vertical
So where is it that it states "you need a much larger tank if it's horizontal than if it's vertical"?

Most people seem to be using a 2 gallon tank or the smaller 24 oz. one from Shurflo - probably due to space limitations. Water Works calls their 2 gallon tank an "In-Line" tank (not horizontal or vertical) but their installation instructions show it mounted vertically. Their smallest horizontally-mounted tank is 6 gallons. However, no one who has mounted the 2 gallon "In-Line" tank horizontally seems to be having any problems with that orientation.

The Water Worker data is for a private well where you need a pressure tank. I have installed hundreds of them in my former life as a well driller. Most all of them were vertical and placed next to the vertical WH or in the well house.
What our current conversation is about is a different use than those pressure tanks. Yes we are putting pressure in them, but we already have city pressure or a pump pulling from a water tank. So while some info is similar, we are talking about a different horse. It's all about the pressure in the tank, not how much water you can get out of it. H or V makes no difference to our RVs-- until you winterize.
Oh, and I looked at my TH, but the rain that is washing away the snow prevented me from going out to work on it.
DW is home, safe and sound btw.

Over the last few days we returned from our 1st camping trip of the year... 10 days at Lake West Point... on the Georgia side. We then downloaded the fridge and a few clothes we may need at home and took it to the shop. Living Room A/C didn't seem to keep up the end of last year and its still under warranty. While its there, I am letting them wash it. B/T/W, didn't need that A/C this trip as it got down in the 20's on 3 of those 10 nights.

What did you do to your camper today?
Today I successfully mangled a set of stairs when I forgot to fold them up before leaving storage. Crappy part was we were about to leave for a trip. Took about twenty minutes with wrenching to drop wrecked set and another hour to pull the set from second door and installed to get us on our way. Was starting to think we never was going to use those stairs/other door. Who knew good solution to a major problem!

Detachable cord
Today, I cut the cord. I cut off the power cord and installed a Furrion L5-30 plug set so I can detach the cord and seal up the "mouse hole". I had added a Marinco plug set to my previous TT before. Just to keep it even, I already have a Valterra plug setup to connect my Champion generator to the house to power essentials in an emergency.

I was surprised how much my wife liked the Camco screen door bar, too. She's not always impressed when I add doodads like that.
One doodad she wanted was a pullout spice rack that hangs on a track out of sight between the exhaust hood and wall. And Command hooks on the bathroom wall for our towels, and in the closets for our jackets. New trailers are fun to outfit.
