nah you're not stupid. I've just gotten personally into too many campgrounds where I ran out of blocks of varying thickness wood and gave up chasing the leg lengths trying to level the front end. wardrobe doors all
close flush now. and my cord of wood is in the fire pit.
For the 99 cents it cost me for the first one , I can spend more time enjoying camping than cursing at 2x6 blocks, 1/4, 1/2 and 3/4 inch plywood cuts I had to build to level. I can drink more coffee or whatever I want as well

took someone else's lead and used their idea about cutting a couple of mats (exercise style) putting them into the cargo areas.
Works well
Milk crates stow things.
Black crate for electrical odds and sods
Red crate for my Anderson levelers
Yellow crate for my water hoses and filter... I know what you're thinking with that one... DW said the same thing!

I have the aluminum version and won't ever tow without my Andersen, since we use my truck as an everyday truck so light and easy to put in and out as opposed to a 200-250# traditional 5th wheel hitch, love ours.
Do you know if the Anderson will fit into a B&W receiver?

I installed a sewer pipe holder on the new 5er. I hung a TV in The boys bunkroom, towel paper holder, and packed it all up for our first trip with the new rig.
So the pinbox is on the trailer right? I don't have a 5th wheel so I don't know there things. Raising it makes it sit lower then.
Yup, you got it. Raising the pin box brings the nose down which will bring the rear up.

Fortunately the site we are on has us with the front raised quite far up. If it didn't, I would have brought the slides in and raised it until we could use the truck bed.
We took it up 2". If it needs to go more, I'd actually be apt to tackle it myself. The biggest thing was his heavy duty impact wrench vs my sissy little one- we'll see how it goes if I have to do it again.

Raising the pin box lowers the nose and raises the rear of the camper.
Lower nose transfers weight from the camper's rear axle to the front more evenly distributing the weight (rear axles on nose high towed campers are usually heavier and more likely to be overloaded if close to the axle maximum).
It will also lower wind resistance slightly so mileage may improve slightly.
Raising the rear may prevent rear stabilizers and possibly the bumper from dragging when transitioning from a drive surface to your inclined driveway.
Downside is you may be more likely to hit the truck bed sides and tailgate when turning on uneven ground.

Luckily I didn't because based on your experience I would have had to spend some $$ on tools. Did it really take an impact wrench to get the bolts loose?
I have a torque multiplier that I use for my deuce lugnuts but of course it was at home.

Here is a awning sun blocker cheater I have I figured out out of an adjustable painters pole, screw in hook, small spring clips, a strip of velcro, and side curtain for instant canopy. The velcro i use to keep pole upright just velcro it to the shock on awning arm. The pics show it pulled up some for the breeze and view. I use it in the morning and evening. Set up time less than 5 minutes. The pole also comes in handy for reaching those tough spots under camper or pass through storage. We are at KOA east Asheville NC
Awning tie down cheat. I use motorcycle handle bar tie down to wrap around awning drum then strap to picnic table, ok for most situations but we do put in awning depending on wind
Yeah about half the LED's are out on my awning light and I love the Blue Streak system.
Our LED strip went out just over a year old, FR installer had them pinched in awning support bar on side of trailer with in/out of awning broke wires. i tried soldering them back but pita up on ladder and no way to hold them. We went with a string of LED Edison style and use a Christmas AC remote control outlet to turn them on and off when we go in at night. I plan on using the 12V switch the LED strip was on to put up an LED porch light. I can not decide if i should do orange or clear. Here is a pic of LED strp

We didn't try without. We went straight to his impact wrench to yank them off.
The tools we used were:
- impact wrench with deep well socket (15/16")
- breaker bar + another deep well socket (I think same size- but am not sure)
- torque wrench
- bottle jack
- wood/blocks
- 2 people
