Yes that is possible. I usually like to get all loaded and hooked up and drive off. I might need to try it your way to how it goes.

I scored a bunch of Black SPST and same-size DPDT-Center-Off ones from eBay land ... shipped in from China, Incorporated ...
Here are some similar ... ( current listings as of this posting)
http://www.ebay.com/itm/10x-SPST-On-Off-Black-Square-I-O-Rocker-Mini-12V-Switch-for-Automotive-Car-Boat-/172192365155
These others would work for the two-way light mod
3 Pcs AC 250V 6A 125V 10A 6 Terminals DPDT On/Off/On Boat Rocker Switch Black | eBay
I saw some "nice" SPDT-Center Off that say "On-Off-On" instead of "I-O-II" - but be sure to reality check the size

We have an 8-foot Dometic
There have been posts about it, the heater wire embedded to keep the door from freezing shut / inside from icing up etc.

Thank you for the links. Before I go to the trouble of putting in a switch, I want to make sure that there are times that the heater is needed. Jay

I cut the wire to mine and haven't noticed any difference at all.
Putting a switch in hasn't made it to the top of the Todo yet. It's about 2 years down there.....

Haven't had a chance to bug it with the ammeter yet, but am wondering ... expected to see the brightness of the light change, or the battery voltage waver, when flipping between on and off, and DID NOT see that. "Maybe" there is a thermal switch / poly switch or some such hidden with it (NOT shown on schematic) or maybe it is a kind of wire with a thermal coefficient, resistance changes with temperature ?
When the itch gets bad enough, we'll post up some real ammeter readings as a reality check.

It's a 6 watt heater; it pulls 0.5 amps. See bottom of table on page 2:

A few years ago we purchased a couple of O2Cool 12v/battery fans and love them.
We were able to get the ones with the flip up handle, not like the fold down base units they have today.
We wanted to get them up off the limited counter top space we have so I decided to mount them to the ceiling.
I cut 2) five inch circles out of a 1/4 inch panel and cut 2) one inch PVC pipes at five inches. I cut down the length side of the PVC creating an opening of 7/8 inches. Then cut two holes through the side of the PVC for a tapered machine screw and access to that screw. I also have a nylon washer to go between the PVC and wood.
I painted the wood to almost (not) match the ceiling.
I assembled them like this. I had to cut part of one due to it butting up against a speaker.
I mounted them to the ceiling.
Now all I have to do is snap the handle into the slot and the fan is up off the counter. There gap in the PVC is just slightly smaller than the handle so it won't just fall out and to remove I just push the handle out of the gap.
I can swivel them in any direction and the fan also allows me to aim it up or down as well. This gives me complete control over where the air goes.

When I retired, I told my wife that I wanted to live someplace where I could see palm trees every day. She took care of that with this wonderful stained glass window, which I installed this morning.
