What did you do to your camper today?

I have seen some posts from people asking how to get sound from regular TV programming to come out through the ceiling speakers. For our model, I found a very simple solution. I got a standard AUX cable and plugged it into the headphone jack on the TV and the AUX input on the Jensen unit. Set the Jensen to the AUX mode and bingo. That’s all it took. Hope this helps some of you!

Following rockfordroo’s post copied from another forum, I removed the back of the fridge to find the correct wire to cut the door heater on my Dometic fridge. This should help cut amp usage for boondocking.





In a bit, I’ll cut and tape off the wire. I’ll add the spade connectors another time.


As well, we replaced a storage ottoman as the old one was falling apart. I’m fairly certain this one is slightly lighter than the old.

I'm adding an additional propane line with quick disconnects
to connect to my Coleman stove so I don't have to carry
those small propane bottles.....

Zak1, are you connecting your stove before or after the pressure regulator? If after, remember to remove the regulator in your stove.

Disassembled and adjusted the sliding door so it now hangs straight.

The bottom pix is before I changed it, Thanks to Old Coot for suggesting the change too. I can never visualize the finished job, when i get done I ask myself why did I do it that way

Went ahead and bought a Honda 2000 Companion. I didn’t like that the running A/C takes up all of my watts (making it loud AND not letting me run anything else).

And then otherwise- today was a travel day. Stopped at Meteor Crater bear Winslow, AZ as it’s been on my “to visit” list for a couple of years. Pretty neat sight to see (or is it “site to see”?).

Attaching before the camper propane regulator (now!, learned that after trying after the camper regulator).....

I went to a high end grill/fire pit store and got to know the shop technician.
I a nutshell, mine was custom made with 10' of 3/8 gas hose with quick coupler and valve at the grill end.
I will take picks after I get one more part that arrives from Amazon.

So far I have $160 in to this. I'm sure it could be non cheaper.....

Zak1, have a replacement regulator available for your stove. Long story short, my Boy Scout troop regularly refills small bottles from larger tanks. The regulators in the stoves and the older Heater Buddy (newer ones use a diaphragm) will clog after a while. Many of the smaller stoves and things do not use a diapram type regulator, but use what looks like compressed sand near the orifice or at the bottle connection. I talked to the manager of the gas depot near me. He says......The small bottles use filtered gas. The large bottles ( as found on campers, grills, etc) use non filtered gas, often with small traces of oil vapors added to help prevent rusting. This slowly clogs non-diaphragm type regulators. He gave us a filter and have yet to have ours clog.

I think it looks better, but I would buy a length of copper to go the entire length and take the time to make it real straight and get it to lay in the corner and possibly under the carpet. JMO.

Today I filled the water heater with vinegar and let it soak. Camper is inclined forward. When I drained it I remember why I only use the system for dishes and quick outdoor showers.
