The handles we're printed on a $200 printer. Yes, AMAZING.

What did you do to your camper today?

Monthly generator, battery and tire check. Started prepping for short weekend trip to local state park in two weeks.

We had some others but they are hard plastic and when we had to evacuate for the tornado taking the awning down took longer then I would have liked because we had to slide the hangers out. With these being fabric we can just pull the lights and leave these in the awning as it rolls up

The fabric (or even rubber type) hangars will fold up neatly when rolling the awning up. But, I guarantee you the non-removable hooks are going to tear the awning. I’ve seen it happen a few times.

We have these but remove the S hook portion from the hangers - we crimped the S hook onto the lights instead and use the open end to hang lights so the hooks are not rolled up in the awning

We have had the rubber ones and the fabric versions for several years and neither have damaged the awning material

Very creative! This is one of those things that makes total sense but never thought of it. Thanks for sharing.

Have been having issues with the bedroom air conditioner periodically turning itself off. A friend said theirs was the RJ11 (aka telephone) communication cable had frayed and almost caught fire. So while he and another buddy were here, we climbed onto the roof to take a look to see if we could isolate the issue. Couldn’t find the communication wire from the thermostat at all. So we closed it back up.

Coming down off of the roof- one of us managed to bend the camper’s ladder slightly.

Good times.

Doug,.....did you get an error code on the t-stat when the bedroom A/C shut down?

BTW - the communication wires are located under/inside the return box located on the front half of the A/C unit up on the roof.

No error code. It still just shows the temp that it’s set to. Just doesn’t kick on.

In fact, at night- we set the fan to “low” so we to drown out the outside world. It stops and everything.

OK....still could be corroded communication connections. As I mentioned above, try to find all of the modular plug connections & clean them up with soft brush & spray contact cleaner.

When you take the shroud off the A/C unit you will find a small silver cover screwed to the side of the air exchange box. Inside that is the circuit board and start capacitor and modular plugs on the board. BE VERY CAREFUL, THE CAPACITOR HOLDS A HIGH VOLTAGE CHARGE SO, DON'T TOUCH THE CONTACTS!!

Next, take the 6-8 screws out that hold the top cover on the air exchange box and slowly bend back the cover. Inside you will find more modular plugs to clean & check. Of course, this part is assuming you have a ducted A/C system.

We got into that covered area and there was no modular plug. The spot where it seemed like it should be was blank. It was really weird.

Unfortunately, I didn't get a picture of it.

Yeah, sorry. I feel bad. As many times as I've been inside that area chasing the dreaded E2 code........I never took any pictures.
