What did you do to your camper today?

Inspected more of the underside of the trailer and found the breather hose for the fw tank was crimped (from Mfg) measured the size of the duct work in preps for replacing. Pulled some duct work down to expose the crazy big hole for the shower and made plan to cover it. The pics show the breather line, shower cutout and tank heating pad if you were wondering how big the pads were about 12X15", found in-addition to the pads there is a heating wrap around each holding tank dump outlet.

SeaDog, would that hole help keep the shower drain from freezing if you are camping in sub-freezing temps and/or warm the shower floor?

the underbelly of my rig is not heated except where the mice chewed thru the ductwork. By closing up the hole I will lessen the chance of the piping freezing. I have to stop looking around I'm finding more and more things that need attention.

Removed my LowPro LockDowns from the bumper, the bike rack from the hitch, and took down the LevelMatePRO. I also wired a RV dealer money for a new camper. It’s starting to look real!



Next I’ll remove all of the battery wiring and equipment except for a single battery so that when I get the new rig, it’ll be a simple switcherroo.

Sorry! It’s a Prime Time Spartan 1245 toy hauler.

It has 5,100 lbs of cargo carrying capacity. And that’s after 2 air conditioners and a built-in generator. Triple axle with shocks (Lippert, but hey- some shocks are better than none!).

We will immediately swap out the living room loveseat for a table and chairs.

The garage will be done up as the kid’s bedroom. We’ll make a pair of beds out of the upper happijack bed lift by extending them north/south with the camper. We’ll ditch the fold-down bench/bed that comes with it. In its place, we will get a sleeper sofa for the kids to hangout and have a bed for when Grandma and Grandpa come. We’ve picked out a plush carpet for the floor.

I’m still not certain how I’m adding an office to the master bedroom. Lately I’ve been working from the bed but overall, I miss my mouse and second screen!

The fridge is twice the size than we have now and it has a huge pantry which will be nice.

Plus, it has something like a 50” TV. Seems overkill but hey!

Bicycles, LEGOs, Wii, books, R/C cars... just family stuff.

With water, we run about 4,200-4,500 lbs. I need the cargo carrying capacity.

And the mega-size is only 1.5’ longer than I pull now (42’ bunkhouse). The garage will give us a good kid’s room and the remainder of the size gives us a good livable space.

Is that the receiver you had mounted on your kingpin? I need to find a way to get that from you and let it live on attached to our 5er

son and I chopped up a tree that was across the road by our house. 30 seconds after we got it clear another tree fell about 100 yards behind us and hit the power lines taking out our power. Nothing I can do about a tree across the power lines.

Removed 3 of my 4 batteries and all of the accoutrements (battery monitor, circuit breaker, battery disconnect, and wiring between them) from my upgrade/inverter install. Also added wood framing to hold the battery in place since I took out the battery box.

On camper switch day, I’ll remove the last battery and will drop in whatever comes with the new rig (Spartan 1245). Friday is supposed to be the big day!

Next up, I head up onto the roof to pull the external antennas for the cellular and WiFi boosters.

I towed our Wrangler down to Roadmaster and had them install their Invisibrake- it works great!

Today I installed the Husky Brute HB4500 electric tongue jack on our 21SS, hooray for not having to manually crank up and down and up and down when hitching.

Wife and I have just been working on getting it ready for Spring and our first outing since buying it a few weeks ago.
