I moved approximately 7,000 boxes while my wife unpacked.

Opened up some enclosed areas under the peninsula. Fortunately, it was enclosed by cabinet doors (1 screwed into place and the other stapled). Looks like they’ll make nice storage for our InstantPot and ice maker. The only challenge will be cutting the shelf into a terrible almost triangle shape.

Was proud of my daughter as she was unpacking the 1/2 bath (theirs). There was a panel under the bottom of the sink that she wanted to know what was behind it. Turns out- mostly wood shavings and the water + drain lines. It’ll make for a perfect spot for toilet paper storage!

I went to Home Depot for hardware to make the cabinet shelves- hinges, catches, and a simple knob. I’ll have to order a new door handle from Spartan.

Also bought 2 door locks. One for our master bedroom door and the other for the master bath. My wife reminded me that we would want one for the 1/2 bath. Big sister is a little tired of little brother barging in.

Bought a magnetic door catch to get rid of a hook and eye-like catch for the master bedroom door. It has to be locked open when you bring the wardrobe slide in.

And added a few things to the shakedown list- 1) the water leak I identified seems to be coming from the drain for the clothing washer/dryer and t wasn’t fixed. Water comes out on the floor from behind the wall when we run it. 2) we have hydraulic fluid leaking for the level up system and slides- not much, just a couple of drips in the front bay.

Thanks, I didn't.. I just put a couple of plastic shims underneath and glued the wood to them..

ependydad, First of all, Congrts on the new 5er/new home. Hope you are recovering from the big move. How did things work out with the h20 leak on your trade-in. Hope not too big of a deal. BTW, Did you see the recall on some of the Instant-pots? Enjoy the new home!

My unit doesn't have an enclosed bottom so that's why it didn't click right away.My previous one was open too. I do crawl under there to check things a couple times per year though

The only work I've done under there so far on my current unit was to add miracle probes to the tanks and run wire for step lights.

They didn’t care whatsoever about the H2O leaks. I told 2 different people about them in person. I wasn’t there when they walked through it but no one said anything and they didn’t adjust the trade price.

And yep- saw the recall on the InstantPots. My wife told me the recall was on their slow cookers not pressure cookers, so we are good. But thanks for asking. Better safe than sorry.

Unfortunately the new owners of the trailer will find the leak as I doubt these dealers do anything to these used trailers before flipping them to the public.

Congrats Doug on the new 5er. I thought you were thinking about a class A for all the storage space? Looks nice.

Well fortunately, I left the valve in pieces in the storage hatch. They're going to have to at least reassemble it.

We explored Class A motorhomes for a brief bit. The problem came down to that we could never entirely come to grips with the kids and their space. We decided against salon bunks due to sometimes needing to send them for a nap mid-day if they're being a-holes. With bunks, they're typically adjacent to the master bedroom and there are times (usually at night) where I'd like Momma and I to have some privacy and not be "overheard".

Plus, there was the cost- it seemed the rigs I liked were in the $200k and up ballpark. I just couldn't justify the cost.

So, class A mohos fell off the consideration list.

How much work was it to drop the corpolast? Debating if I want to subject myself to the pain and suffering...

I am looking at adding some cross members. The strap holding the front grey tank broke and let the drain sag down. I was able to repair the strap but want to add some reinforcement to support that section of the tank for the future. Thinking of just attaching a piece of aluminum channel to the frame. Will probably do the same for the rest of the tanks.

It's dirty and sort of sucks. But, it was relatively quick - it took 2 of us maybe 20-25 minutes to drop the entire under belly on my 42' rig back in September when I had the frame issues.

Putting it back up took a little longer and was more of a hassle to hit the wood strips with the screws. First one or two on each board were a hassle to squeeze a hand in and hold it into place.

Having a creeper would definitely help.

Yes, I can get back in when they leave for the day.

I went over to the tire place and dropped off the tires. We're getting 8 lug axles, so we need new rims. It took maybe 15 minutes and by the time I drove back, they had the axles off.

I guess I'm committed now!

Have to troubleshoot my refrigerator this afternoon after work. The heater elements have stopped working and while it switched over to propane fine while I was on vacation and kept everything nice and cold, it ate 20 gallons of propane to do the job. Not sure if its going to be a fuse, circuit board or the heater element yet, but I will figure it out and get the parts ordered.

Is all the weight just on their four jacks? It looks like your level-ups are a few inches off the ground. Not sure how the lack of extra support might affect you while you're inside it.
