Washed it with some wash n wax and lubed all the necessary points.

Tip: when washing and rinsing your rig use a fine mist instead of full blast. Some of those multi-steam nozzles van shot a little too hard IMO. I use one that is vertices so it’s never shooting directly at a seam.

BRAKES! I really wanted to replace the drum brakes with discs but can't afford that now.

I took one wheel off last week just to see what I had going on because the last few trips our trailer brakes haven't been very effective. To my disgust the right front one was full of grease, good new grease gun greasers!!! I had only given them 2 or 3 pumps last summer.

Our local NAPA store wanted $13 for a seal so I waited until E-Trailer sent me 3 more to do the rest of the axles. They arrived today so I dived into the other three. Only to find one more with grease and two with magnets that had eaten into the drums and ruined them. So off to the local material store that handles everything for trailers, not really camper but all trailer parts.

After having tried to clean up the grease in the first wheel I decided to replace the brakes on that one plus the other three. Bought all new backing plates with brakes mounted and ready to go, all I had to do was cut the wires and remove five nuts and replace those parts all at once.

Repacked wheel bearings, new seals and installed the new drums and the two old ones, spiced the wires. Adjusted the brakes, these are manual adjusters. Now I will know if they are adjusted. I'm wondering if the bad drums and magnets weren't a problem caused because we didn't back up enough to keep them adjusted.

This weekend we will know what new, clean brakes feel like. The trailer only has about 11,000 miles on it and is 20 month old.

In round figures, what do the disk brake kits cost and where do you get them? Etrailer?

OP, did you replace with self adjusting brakes? Many trailer brakes are manual adjustment only. Maybe your originals were manuals. Those you need to adjust whenever they seem not to work as well.

The kit for most 6-bolt axles around $1,700. Performance Trailer Braking does complete job for around $2,700...at your location. Last time I looked eTrailer only had the smaller kits.

The installation is not difficult and it’s easier if you have help. It took me about 12 hours working alone. PTB has amazing customer support and if you do the job yourself they are available for phone support seven days a week.

The originals were self adjusters. I replaced with manual, have always had manual adj on all of the small trailers I've owned so used to keeping them up.

I am still at a loss as to why the magnets on the left side wheels both wore into the drums so bad. This trailer only has 11,000 miles on it, bought new in Oct of 16.

Bought a "pop-up" trash can for camping(tired of metal HF ones)

Dang. It's sad when you have about bought all the other "stuff you need"

Came out of the shower to find my wife had removed a key/coat/misc rack from inside of the front door. We found a coat rack/shelf in our stuff in storage from the house that we'll hang in its place.

We're noodling the best way to hang it right now since it's pre-mounted hangers don't align with the studs in the wall.

Mine cost $2,550 and was done in the driveway by the folks from Trailerbrakes in TX. Took them (one man) about 4 hours while I sat in a chair and watched.

Added CPAP shelves on either side of the bed. Cause there ain't no room in there.
Put backer boards in and screwboth ways through wall. Solid as anything. Here's some pix of the build.

Looked all over for a curved shower rod with no luck so had to modify. Cut about a foot off both the inside and outside poles, sanded lightly and slid into and installed. Worked great and got a couple more inches in the shower. (Couple more inches of ROOM in the shower).

Use long forceps with a little piece of rag to reach up the pipe
