Interesting. I never thought to measure it. I was just looking for a quick and easy way to isolate the inverter from the batteries in case I needed to work on it. What do you recommend instead?

Fuse and an actual battery switch. I would just use the switch you already have.


At least with BattleBorns you don't get much voltage drop from the batteries but why even add more.

Installed one of these sewer hose tubes under the TT. Very happy with the result.

Looking for advice on application of slide seal protection. Can’t reach the seals under the topper. I’ve tried reaching in with a rag on a poll but don’t feel I’m getting a sufficient amount on the seals.

Went and finally got my 5er weighed, it seems to be within the norms. Then dropped it off to have a local place look at why the oven won't stay lit. Seems to only stay lit for about 5 minutes or so then it goes out.

Also had them quote me a price to replace our batwing with a King Jack antennae. $500+/- Ouch I may just do it myself.

Not actually what I did to my camper but what I did for my camper. Added an RV panel to my home. Since I have 30A hookup for my camper and I needed a 220V welder outlet, I removed the 50A RV outlet that had the neutral and added a 220V welder outlet in place of it. These pictures shows my camper power plugged in.

Thought about that but with a 70" span it's solid as is. It will go to 94" so I'm sure if the span was closer to the max it would need a center support.

I was impressed with how solid it is, and I'm not easily impressed.

On mine if you watch the pilot portion of the flame when the main burner is on, it sputters. Once the oven reaches temperature and the main burner goes out, the pilot goes out along with it.

Replaced the cap on a waste tank vent that was badly cracked and had a piece broken off. It was getting very brittle (9 years old, always stored outdoors). I had to buy a complete vent cap including the base because I couldn't get the right cap on its own. The original base has piece to screw into that was a bit taller then the replacement base so I had to cut off about a 1/4" off to allow the replacement cap to lock on as intended. If anyone has to do this, use a Dremel type tool, not a knife. Fortunately the temp got up to 3°C today so I could caulk over the screw with Dicor self-levelling caulk in a temp that will allow it to cure before temp dips to freezing (0°C) again.

Dec 28.18 While I was prepping it aka washing to cover it for the season. I was washing the roof and found some cracked caulking where the roof, gutter and front of camper meet. DANGER, DANGER.... Full stop on washing. Have to fix this issue.
I spent the rest of the day removing all the old caulk where the roof membrane and edge of trim and putting new on. While I was up there, I found a hole in the membrane. Repaired. Not the most fun job.. but it had to be done.
1.1.19 Finished washing and waxing, cleaning tires and tire covers.. and finally got it covered with pool noodles at gutter spouts and extra large noodle at sewer cyclone vent to prevent it tearing up the cover when the wind blows..

Now I want to go camping

Added mopeka LP sensors to my tanks and installed the remote panel inside, just a push of a button for LP quantities.


Added screen to my AC cover to keep insects out, wasps had made pretty good size nests in it.


Found sealant degraded on the front edge of the roof, ordered Eternabond, should be here Thursday and weather permitting, I'll reseal the roof.

When we camp with our mini freezer unit (looks like a bar fridge, but is 100% freezer), I applied some velcro to the door and the unit itself. Found some at Walmart that was tape style (not sewing machine style). Cut to length, apply to freezer and voila!

Nothing fancy, but does the job. Beats repacking the freezer at your destination :\

What we used to keep it in place....all the "stuff" loaded in the TT that wouldn't fit anywhere else. There simply wasn't any empty floor space for it to move.
