If it’s a slide, make sure it doesn’t come out the bottom of the slideout and tear your floor. Been there, done that.

Yes, that was my fear!! I changed out one screw, then climbed down under the extended slide to see if it was projecting out the bottom. Measured to ensure that I was looking at the right spot where the screws would be, nothing protruding. Then VERY gingerly retracted the slide, listening for ANYTHING unusual, and opened it again. Good to Go.

Did it have carpet under the posts? Mine had the short screws too but they mounted them over the carpet. Cut the carpet out and retightened securely by hand and much better penetration of the screws and much more secure. If you still have carpet under the flanges it'll probably get wobbly again. That was my experience.

Shower with the lights set to white, which is probably what we'll use 99% of the time. I love the look and it's better in person. Really brightens the whole bathroom!

Could have had it done under warranty for free but cost of gas to take trailer to Dealer and back would have cost more than just buying the pilot assy and doing it myself. Part cost me $21 which included shipping and a 10% Sales Tax.

I do the same thing, do it yourself vs taking to dealer for the reasons you say plus wait time for them to get to it. It helps we are capable as well

THanks for the heads up on that. I didn't cut the carpet this time... but I used 1" screws instead of the 1/2" screws that were OEM... so I've got 3/4" or more penetration into the floorboard.



I'll keep an eye on them and if they pull out again I'll cut the carpet out around the bases and harden the threads in the wood with some CA glue. But that table is more solid now than it ever was... fingers crossed!

Decided to pack the wheel bearings for the first time on my 18 month old TT. Didn't think I needed to, but I'm going to Phoenix from Colorado in a couple of weeks and didn't want to have any surprises.

Turns out is was a good idea. Packed the first of 4 and it was in perfect condition. ALMOST decided that packing the other 3 was a waste if time. That little voice in my head said "don't be lazy, just do it". When I took the nut off of the spindle on the next wheel, it had welded itself on to the spindle. Took all I could do to muscle if off with an 18" cheater bar. Needs a new axle.

Looks like my trip is either off, or I'll be moteling it.

Going to call Dexter in the morning to see how good their customer service is. Looks like someone beat the crap out of the end of the spindle too.

Kudos to Dometic for stepping up to the plate. I had a leak in my Dometic 300 toilet. I decided to upgrade and replace the toilet on my own dime. After hearing that my 300 had a known leak problem, I contacted Dometic. I explained the leak issue and that I had upgraded to a 320 model, I didn't feel as though they had any obligation regarding the upgrade, but wouldn't mind if they helped me out based on the 300 model.

They agreed and sent me a very generous refund toward the cost of a 300 model.

Got tired of replacing 3V lithium batteries in my LevelmatePRO. Installed a 3.3V regulator and a 12V receptacle inside the LevelmatePRO box so now it's powered off the trailer batteries.

I may be adding regulators to my Mopeka Propane sensors too.

Like this idea for the propane sensors. How much power do they draw? Couldn't you use 1 for both sensors? They suck the life out of any battery I put in them in less than a season so tired of that.

I haven't measured yet. The LevelmatePro draws 5 mA so the tank sensors are likely similar. I would use just one regulator likely. Will just have to find a good place to put it. The regulator boards are small but the Mopeka sensors don't have as much room as the Levelmate.

These regulators are really only supposed to drop down voltage from 9V or so but since the current draw is so tiny, the power dissipation isn't an issue.

I bought 10 of the regulators since the price dropped to $5.49 for 10 vs $2.49 for 2 so I have a few to play with. If I did it over again, I would find a connector that would go over the pins instead of soldering directly on them.

I brought mine in for the winter so I will be investigating options. They look close to the same size as a PC fan pins from the pics if it helps to find a prewired connection. I was thinking just using some large heat shrink tubing to cover them and leave them under the tank inline with the wiring.

Decided to mount an external waterproof regulator and bring wires from that to waterproof connectors with wires going inside the Mopeka sensors.

Not a bad idea with the regulators though. They would heat shrink easily.

FYI, I have used several of these regulators. Vary the voltage to meet the needs of device powered. Up to 3 amps with a small heat sink. 2, without.

Had never heard of the sensors before but I believe would be a great idea in checking on propane levels. For those of us, or maybe just me, that are electronically challenged, is it possible to show how or explain, or point us in the right direction as to how to wire these sensors to use the trailer battery instead of watch batteries. Thanks.

Very rough but maybe helps. You have to look at the battery to see which is + and which is - on the device. The initial post shows it well in a different box. Once I wire one I can post a picture but I am waiting on my order to arrive.
