Washed entire 5th wheel and awnings and used Wash Wax All to give it a baby's butt shine!

We were at Costco today and they had a good price on fire extinguishers. Decided to add a second one for peace of mind. We mounted it in the bedroom closet. The factory one, like others, is beside the entry door.

What did you do to your camper today?

Today my replacement EMS showed up. I had water damage, due to the cable jam nut not being tight enough. Progressive Industries warranty was easy to deal with, but I did have to call them after waiting for a month. Turns out they forgot to ship it lol. One week later I have my new unit, and that jam nut is tight! Still considering finding a plastic toolbox to put it in to shield from the elements.... also due to the design of my power cord the “shield” doesn’t fully close. Not sure if that is a contributor or not?

*Edit*
In pic 2, the cable behind the EMS is just a dog bone mounted to the pedestal. This park is 50amp only, but mounted dog bones on every pedestal for 30 amp rigs.

Good decision. I have added 2 fire extinguishers in the trailer. So we now have 3. 1 at the front door, 1 in the master bedroom and one near the bunkhouse door.

Good moves. I don’t think one can have too many fire extinguishers. I have Halon 1211 bottles in the bedroom, kitchen, entry door area and behind the driver seat. Hope I never have to use them because it’s almost impossible to get Halon these days.

Until you come up with a more protective design, I suggest using "plastic unbrella bags". I use the ones from Publix because they seem to be larger and will cover the entire EMS. Just stick the plug into the bag to the bottom, push the prongs through the plastic & pull the bag down over the EMS & trailer plug.....voala!........rain coat.

During our last out, I heard a noise from the right side brakes, wife said back wheel. So started exploring, jacked the side, pulled back wheel off, pulled all apart, no grease inside and nothing unusual. I did notice a slight bulge in the middle of the tire like the sides where but the middle doesn't. Rolled it over and nice and even on the other side. Well I have been looking for a reason to get new endurance tires, found it, and since it was jacked up pulled both off and replaced. One left to go on other side. These were marathon tires. But, while I was pulling the other wheel off, found the noise. Took it apart, really didn't see anything out of sorts until I wiggled the magnet. It came off the lever. Hmmm, now where is the keeper. Looked over and found it in the drum, squished and out of shape. Went to the local trailer parts store bought what he had, a 10 x 2" assy, mine is 1 3/4" for some reason. Took the keeper out installed in magnet, greased bearings and put all back together. Brake assy I put on my parts shelf. I might swap the pads out with the extra set I have. Headed to Fort Pickens Labor day weekend. Click image for larger version

Replaced tall am/fm radio antenna with sharkfin

I replaced the metal 31" FM/AM antenna with a "shark fin". Having to use a cover on our travel trailer, the longer antenna would easily poke a hole...so, we had to remove it for cover and reattach when going camping. The shark fin is only a couple of inches high, doesn't even touch the cover and really pulls in FM very well + AM almost as good as the long metal antenna. (At $3.35 on Ebay, it's not an expensive or difficult mod and I certainly don't miss climbing up to R & R the old OEM antenna!)

I have them in bedroom and bunk house for a total of 3, i am to old and big to crawl out of the fire window so my thought is i can spray the extinguisher while i get to one of the doors. At least that is the plan.

What did you do to your camper today?

Finally installed the Camco pump converter winterizing kit this morning. Bought it two years ago. Lol.

In forest rivers infinite wisdom they installed the remote control circuit board right next to the water tank fill and the water pump.

You should invest in a longer antifreeze fill hose.
Gonna be tough getting the bottle in that tight space.
Otherwise great job!
