A very simple and stupid thing I did.... cause it made me feel better. I originally searched for black stainless cup washers and didn’t instantly find what I wanted. I ordered these as I thought they might work....

Thanks. It is 12W X 23L X10H, but with the arched roof it’s about 12.5’ high in the middle.

I built a heavy receiver under the back of my camper for a 2 inch drawbar. Then I built this cargo carrier to slip into the receiver. I added side supports to the frame so that it wouldn't rock back and forth. Also added tail lights/brake/turn signals within tough metal cases that I fabbed from angle iron. I wanted lights on the back of the carrier in case I have things on there that restricted clear view of my camper lights. Added a light circuit that I can unplug if I want to remove it, or take it off to pull an atv trailer behind. I can remove two bolts and pull the receiver pin and unplug to remove it. Almost takes two people to carry it though, its heavy!

Found that a couple of diodes on my taillight are burnt out. I didn’t realize it was LED and pulled it thinking I was going to find bulbs. Guess I need to find a whole new replacement.

While doing it, I found that it was pretty full of water.

E-dad, I am surprised there to be no sealant behind that light assembly to keep water out. Consider adding butyl tape or something when you replace it. Look at your others, as well. A decent source for those, ASH....or auto safety house. Good luck!

Just had Goodyear Endurance tires installed, bearings repacked, MORrydes hanger and shakle kit. Unfortunately it won’t get a good test until next year. One local trip left then it will go to sleep for the winter. [ATTACH]215235[

The whole thing seemed to be solid epoxy filled in. After pulling it off, I was surprised it could have water in it.

Thanks for the pointer of where to buy. I’ll have to order something soon.

FWIW, it's "potting", which is an encapsulant. Quite often urethane, but not always. Usually 2 part, and it chemically cures (so a lot like epoxy, but usually softer to not rip components of the PCB during thermal cycles). Hopefully it is fire retardant (V0). It is intended to keep the water out. My guess is that there is a water pocket, but it's away from the electronics, so it's not the root cause of the failure...

Added this truck rear window decal that I have had for a while and did not use. So I put on the front window of the RV. It is not a perfect full cover fit, but it turned out nice.

For those that are not talented or creative, I believe you can buy clothes hangers for RVs. The hook at the top is tighter and snaps onto the rod.

Today I cross-braced the frame of our Lippert Alumi-Tread steps I bought last year. Was never happy with how unstable they were. The aluminum flat strap I bought at Ace made a HUGE improvement and the steps are rock solid now. They were 1/8"x3/4"x36" long and had to cut them down to about 28" and drill a 5/16" hole on each end. Easily worth the total investment was $17 with hardware. They should have came like this new...

Looks nice. My unit came looking like your finished work but its really thin.
I've got the smart tiles ready in the event it starts to peel.

Looks very similar to the ones I put on my bike rack.
