I hear ya... we have started the process as well.
Was hoping to get one more trip but it's not looking good.

Our only salvation is we're packing things into totes as we plan to head to FL in January and all we'll need to do is throw in all the totes. (if we can get out our lane!)

Winterized the TT mechanically, still have to clear out canned & boxed foods, and clean and bag linens.
Installed and used a winterizing kit on the water pump last year. The pump did not suck up the antifreeze like it was supposed to, had to gravity feed it with a funnel. This year I got a 3 gallon bucket, added a plastic tap made for home brewing, and used that to supply the the antifreeze hose. Unfortunately, the hose leaked at factory fitting on the added pump fitting. Still got it done but it was messy.
The above was after driving my truck and TT into the front yard to use the sewer clean out while cleaning out the black tank. That worked well. I did have to trim a a tree in the side yard to get there. Unfortunately I had to back out from there because I can only get the TT into the front yard from one location as it rises sharply from the road and our driveway.

We got home from our last camping trip of the season yesterday. We took out all of the perishables and things that would freeze yesterday. I winterized it and did some cleaning today. Tomorrow I'll remake the bed and move it to it's winter parking spot. It's sad that the camping season is so short up here in the northeast.

Picked up our 16BH on Saturday, installed the WDH, Levelmate Pro, Haloview camera, and LP tank monitors at the dealer. Once home, moved the water filter b/c it was installed in a spot that pushed the panel into the storage area. Removed the rear fridge and rebuilt the entire storage area under the bunks for a ton more room. Added a flagpole holder to my ladder.

Dealer said it was winterized, but the water filter housing was full of water...i dumped it, but should I blow out the lines again?Click image for larger version

I honestly think the carb needs cleaned or replaced, but I'm not ready to tackle that just yet.
This turned out that I needed to have the fuel pump replaced. Cummins Onan did it under warranty.

After that, I still had surging issues. The techs tested it again and said that the generator was getting too much fuel. They changed the carb out on warranty.

So far so good. We’ll see how it goes.

Was it pink or or clear? I would not trust them if you already found the water filter with water in it. I would blow out and add pink stuff.

1. the Furrion receiver for the 30 amp is not lighting up anymore with plugged in. the plug into the power box lights up though.

2. that the sewer stabilizer strap to the dump controls (looks like gas tank strapping) was snapped in 2

3. replaced defective door to the bathroom pantry (which Rockwood supplied me with) and noticed that the new door has 2 white bow-ties in each corner vs the one which was there on the original door.

4. checked 7 more of my cabinet doors in the trailer and noticed that they are all doing the same thing with the pantry door did.

5. the Murphy bed frame is 2 inch screwed through the aluminum frame and into a 1/8 inch thick wallboard on one side and a piece of .1 x 1 on teh other end. POOR DESIGN as it has torn itself out on teh 1/4 paneling side.

6. the Suburban stove top will not latch due to what looks someone during assembly put a lot of weight to get it to close - bending the stainless steel clip at the top and the metal framing at the bottom all to crap.

Rockwood says they don't built a poor quality product.

I would somewhat disagree.

The storage drawer under the bench seat fell apart due to no glue in the joints and insufficient screws holding it on the sliding track.

The antenna was also destroyed at the factory and the rear awning arm would not release.

I've since then corrected that issue along with put about 8 hours of my time into fixing what This unit I believe was started on a Friday, and finished on a Tuesday after a civic holiday and the workers were hung over!

The rear awning arm would not release and it required an awning bumper arm kit which cost me 126$ and change ;plus time to install.

Dometic reimbursed me directly for the parts and labor because Rockwood and the dealership have not!

Wow! You sound like us. We bought a Forest River Cardinal this year. We call it our brand new fixer upper! Funny not funny.

When washing your rubber roof how stiff of a brush do you use? A car wash softness or something a little stiffer

I would only use a softer brush on my rubber roofs.
EPDM rubber roofs degrade slightly over time and stiff brushes may accelerate that.

Newer TPO roofs do not weather the same as rubber but I still use a car brush on it as well. Cleans up nice using the factory recommended Dawn or Spic-n-Span.

I figured I should post a after action report. My fix didn't work. We went through some rough roads on our way to Fort Wilderness and the rod popped off allowing the bunkhouse clothes to fall. We will do the towel trick next.

So did the snap-on rod you manufactured pop off or did the hanging rod pop off?

The way that wooden rod snaps onto the hanging rod you must have hit some doozy rough roads. Was anything else left in any of the other cabinets?

Have the rig hooked up and ready to go for a long weekend at Ft. Wilderness. Will head out mid-morning tomorrow (we're in the Tampa area so not too much of a drive.) Site may not be ready when we get there, but that's fine - we'll plant the camper in the overflow area and ride our bikes around the campground for a while.

We did hit some rough broads and the bar I made lifted up on one end and all the hanging clothes were fallen down at our over night destination. We will try the towel over the curtain rod and clothes for our next trip.

We have a large storage cabinet in the bathroom which is over the outside kitchen. Have been trying to figure out how best to use the space. After looking at different options including mounting shelves ( didn't really want to drill holes into outside wall) we decided on good old fashion milk crates. They are lightweight, always something I look at, and cheap. ($3.60 on sale at Target). I use these same creates to hold the grandkids games and all my loose stuff in the outside pass thru. Going on our last trip for the year next week so we will see if we like the way it works out.

Added fuse panel for accessories in cargo bay along with LED lighting, great addition since I am usually trying to set up in the dark.

Looks good, but drill the hole next time. The first hole is the hardest. After that, they all get easier.
