That one is a single speed but they are available with variable speeds. Both are a direct fit into the bracket in your ceiling and are installed from inside the camper.

Just a thought...............for when they go out.............Again
I almost did that this time around. I worried about the less amount of light coming through and if my wife would be bothered by it.

And then I started looking at the Fantastic Fan with the translucent blades and then the install intimidated me.

So then I just ordered a new fan since the motor was kaput and will put off my over analyzing until another day...

These Vortex fans are great. This is always one of my first mods.

Got a break in the weather so we dewinterized, added water to the fresh tank, filled the water heater, sanitized, and pressure tested everything. Checked the LP/electric operation of furnace, refrigerator (left on) and water heater. DW has been loading in all day.

Headed out Sunday morning for FL. Temps to be above freezing through departure but some rain. I can handle the rain. VA first night, SC second and then into FL the 3rd day.

Travel safe, my friend. We'll be plodding through long after the temps fall back to normal and the snow flies... frequently. [emoji1787]

Installed a bed lift kit on our 2018 Grey Wolf 20RDSE. Started with a Hatchlift kit for a queen heavy (we have a thick memory foam mattress) and ended up swapping the 120lb struts for 60lb struts from Amazon. FWIW the instructions in this video are spot on (and better than the ones that came with the kit)

We added the extend-a-shower rod, door holders to the cabinets over the dinette, and another set of stabilizers a few weeks ago.

Camping awaits!

Installed a new set of Duracell 6v 235 Ah (X4) house batteries and a Victron BMW-712 Battery Monitor to make sure this set lasts a loooong time! The BMW is admittedly a gadget, but it's a pretty cool one with the bluetoothed phone app - pretty slick.
Also, repaired a SOKIII* slide out cover instead of replacing it. The end cap was a victim to some yahoo's "tail swing" and he (or she!) just clipped the back cap on my slide out cover and popped it off, causing the cover to release all tension. Of course, I didn't even see it until I was washing the coach and saw that the slide cover was literally scrunched up and pinched between the closed slide and the coach (I had extended the slide without realizing all tension had been released from the spring, so when I retracted it, it didn't roll back onto the spindle). If you've ever had the pleasure of rewinding the tension on a slide out cover by yourself, I'm proud to say I've joined you in that club!

*Final note/fun fact/meaningless trivia/evidence of too much time on my hands - is someone at Carefree just toying with us? In researching this repair, I discovered that the "SOKIII" is an acronym for "SIDE Out Kover II", even as it is marketed as a "SLIDE" out cover! Maybe they just wanted to give us RV'ers something to argue about over the campfire other than tire pressures or voltage regulators/surge protectors!!!

Well just finished loading the RV and test running the generator, now I can say I’m ready for my trip to Miami for 3 mos. I’ll be glad to get out of this cold weather here. It seems it takes me longer and longer to pack and get ready each year, if I forgot anything Amazon is my friend. Still didn’t get that ABS light checked, it will come on and then go off, I figure I’ll get it checked in Miami, they told me it’s still safe to drive it down there. No recall or anything Chevy Check it for me, they said it could be a short being that it’s not showing a code when they checked it.

Yes, there are cabinet doors in our camper that open up - so one must always have an extra hand hold the door open while putting things in and take things out so you don't get whacked in the head.

These are small struts that hold them up... we used these=> https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Maybe we'll run into each other somewhere along the way.

Grrr, went to replace my Carbon Monoxide/Propane detector and realized the one I got on Amazon was only for propane. My old one is beeping and flashing an end-of-life signal. I leave on a trip next Saturday and can’t find one that will be delivered before then [emoji35]

so, you have three choices............

1. Don't go on trip
2. Disconnect beeping detector, go on trip
3. Install new Propane detector go on trip, install the correct one when you return, or find one at an RV store while on trip.

Id pick #3.

You could re-order via Amazon Prime? They have several combo units listed.

Fortuitous find on local classifieds:

Mor Ryde Step Above. Super easy install, great savings too. I do need to trim the screen door, so I just removed it for now.
