New shoes...new part to hitch...the hard way. Two seperate incidents. I wanted endurance but my options were to spend a fifth day waiting on parts or take what was available. I took what was in stock. When putting on the spare I found cracks in the tire that took the full load so I ended up getting 4 new tires and went up a load range to E even though I had room with Ds.

TPMS alerted as it should have and saved any additional damage. Stock tires are 4yrs old with about 12k on them. Perhaps the hard breaking braking that caused the hitch problem caused a tire problem that lead to the blowout later or just really bad roads in Birmingham?

Discount tire was great and stayed open 15min late to get it done though they only inflated one side to 65lbs and the other to 80lbs (two different guys)....so I had to fix that after they closed on my own.Click image for larger version

It’s a travel trailer, I’ve had it only two years it’s a 2011 coachman chaparral 29bhs. But I want to be sure no issues this year.

wind screen

Today I installed the windscreen that I fabricated for my Blackstone 22 inch griddle. I put it on the slide that I posted previously. Came out pretty good I think.Click image for larger version

What is the material? Metal, I assume, but how did you fabricate it?

Pressure washed all the bird crap off it. Opened up the awning and, boy, did it STINK! So I pressure washed it, top and bottom. Had to retract it 3/4 turn at a time to get the top well. Finally loaded in the TT stuff I kept in the basement for winter. Found a 6x4-5x18" plastic drawer and loaded all the freshwater parts that would fit for safe sanitary storage.
Discovered I can't use my safety strut type bumper supports with the factory rear rack brackets installed ;(

Assuming they were close to full when purchased, it was topping off the charge. After 24 hours, still charging at +-13.65v, +-.5amps the battery disconnected read 13.11v after about 4 hours of rest.

The question I have is I thought the converter was a three stage and the voltage would change from 14+v, to 13.6v, then 13.3v. Is my converter working correctly?

Samtummo
its working but I have never found a WFCO convertor drop to float, unless it does not show a load for 24 hrs, other then that it will stay in abosrbtion mode at 13.6, it even states that in the manual, so if you even have your radio display showing or your propane sensor it will never go into float 13.2v I have many trailers with the WFCO 8955/55 amp convertor, watch your water level offen, a word to the wise. Also I have never seen that charger go into bulk, to check your voltage 4 hrs is still showing a surface charge, give it 24 then take the voltage reading. IMO WFCO is garbage, but that is just me.

Did the CHF front and back on my Georgetown (F53) I've only got just over 50 miles under my belt with it but had a little bit of sway on the highway at 65 with winds and a little plowing when turning so hope this will help. Everyone else that has done it said there was much improvement. Its going in for some warranty work Monday, so will how it does. Should be back by end of week they said, I hope so, we have a trip starting in 13 days up to MI.

I redone circuit breaker identification. I have 20AMP at home and turn off breakers and I finally got tiered of counting them over since factory label was shifted and I never could remember which AC was for living room when DW wanted to go clean after a trip. I borrowed sons P-Touch label maker.

I replaced a leaking valve on my bath grey water tank. My guess is that it was as old as the 5th wheel (10yrs).
As you can see from the pictures, the seals had given up the hope and began crumbling away.Click image for larger version

I cut the aluminum .048 wall (didnt have a pc of stainless big enough) on our metal shear, notched the center for the flanges on each side on an iron worker and did the bends on a press brake. Could have been done with regular home power tools and then formed with a hand brake, but we have pressbrakes. Sometimes it pays to work in a metal shop. The rails of the slide were formed on a pressbrake also. Only bought the ball bearing slides which are rated at 600lbs.

Not sure if you tell from the photo's but the windscreen is fastened to the slide rails and not to the Blackstone. I use the griddle right on the slides rather than lift it out of the basement and putting it on the legs. The slide extends out 4 feet from the side of the camper and then returns when its not being used, no lifting.
