Need some guidance. Went out to dump tanks and found water coming out of the vent line for the freshwater tank. I was connected to city water. Thanks in advance what would cause this?

This is caused by your freshwater tank being over full. Turn off the CG's city water that is connected to your camper. Then turn on your pump for your campers fresh water. If you check the level of your fresh water tank it should read full. Use your onboard pump for the fresh water for a couple of hours or at least until your FW tank reads 2/3. The you can turn off the FW pump and turn the city water back on. If this fixes the problem then you are ok. Sometimes the valve in the FW pump get stuck and allows City water into the FW tank. If you continue to have this problem then you may have to replace your FW pump or the switch over valve which ever you have on your camper. Hope this helps.

maybe I can help you it sounds like your water pump valve stuck, to fix shut city water off cycle the pump to clear it, then hook back up to city water make sure the pump is turned off. Kinda of a common problem. Normally happens when both are on. There is a check valve in the pump it will get stuck open and fill your tank at the same time.

I fixed a leaky bathroom sink drain. We are camping and after brushing her teeth DW found lots of water on the floor. She is not good on water conservation and leaves it running[emoji35]...after 4 years and 25k miles I am not suprised something shook loose.
I found that even cleaned up inside and out of the cabinet almost immediately the base of the fridge warped and the laminate is coming off....more fixes to come I guess.

Got mine back from the shop with a new roof. Apparently I scraped a tree somewhere and it ripped it right on the edge. Insurance took care of everything.

Nicely done!
How is that place when it comes to deals? Would it be worth my driving almost 3 hours? Their website isn't really loaded with prices or information...

for our new 2021 Cougar 5th wheel I replaced the 2 foot and 6 foot over the recliner chair trim which fell down in transport and made 4 blocks for under the leveling jacks. I found the LL pads were sinking after the trailer was unloaded and leveled. the ground footprint was not big enough.

First, are you sure you are connected to the city water inlet? There are usually two, one for a pressurized supply (City water) and one for tank fill.
There is supposed to be a check valve (that may have failed) on the freshwater tank outlet line to stop the city water from flowing into the tank.
If the check valve failed, do as was previously posted, fill the FW tank, shut off the city water supply, and use your pump with the onboard water to keep on camping and replace the check valve later.

I’ve ordered an in-line check valve. Thanks

I installed three of these wireless switches. One in the master bedroom, one in the bunk controlling two lights and one for the reading light in the master bedroom. The reading light was so dang bright, you could not even turn it on. The on / off feature is great by it self but the dimming function makes this switch awesome. I am not sure if it will work with all LED lights though.

Sorry for late reply. As far as deals are concerned, it all depands on what you're looking for. Not a lot of furniture but tons of everything else. Fixtures, fittings, etc. They have tons of RV interior fabric which my wife has bought there several times. It's kinda like a candy store/flea market that goes on forever. Don't know that I would drive 3 hours to check it out but if your working on your RV fixing something and need a hard to find part. They're the place.

I had the cable actuated dump valve on our Grey Water tank (shower and bathroom Lavatory) break, stopping us from being able to close the valve.
We made it work until we got home because I had previously installed a dump valve directly before the drain hose hookup.
After checking with write ups on Etrailer that told me the flanges would simply bolt up because they bolt hole spacing was an "Industry Standard" I purchased two LaSalle Bristol 1 1/2" drain valves to replace the Valterra valves on both the Grey and Galley holding tanks.
After removing the old valves I discovered to my dismay that the valve flanges ARE NOT spaced the same and I was gong to have to change all 4 flanges (2 on each dump valve).
This necessitated removing the Eccentric 3" x 1 1/2" fitting on each tank. this was made relatively easy by loosening the worm gear clamp and then heating the extruded portion of the tank with a heat gun. After I had it out I cut off the flange and removed the portion of the flange that was inside the eccentric fitting.
The rest was just gluing up the ABS pipe and fittings, running the cable and now they both work splendidly.
Mission Accomplished!

As much as I didn't want to winterize the camper prior to leaving for our winter trip south, the weather forced me to do it. Freeze warnings are out for this weekend.

Repaired the awning. The last several times I have retracted the awning the arms would not align with the upright bars on the side of the RV and the awning would not close all the way. At first I had to manually push the arms as the awning came in. Eventually that was not enough and I had to tie a rope to the end of the front awning arm and pull hard while DW retracted it. We had decided to discontinue using the awning for the remainder of our trip, which is another 7 weeks.
Turns out, the owner of the CG where we are for several more days once owned an RV repair company. I mentioned it to him and he said no problem. He climbed onto the roof and removed a screw that went through the awning and into the track where the awning is attached to the RV. He then pulled the awning material about 2” toward the front of the RV. Presto! The awning retracts fully. He put the screw back in and all is done.
Who knew?

I sprayed Great Stuff around the low point drains and the holes for the power stabilizer wiring. Also repaired any openings in the underbelly fabric with black duct tape.
