Factory

What if the factory left an item off in production?

Screen/Storm Door

We have done this on both of the RV's, the cat just loves being able to look out even in the winter time, and in he summer with the air on, you do not feel as though you are in a closet:

We went on Friday the 14 to check on our fifth wheel to find it gone! The dealer had taken to service for the only problem a broken stair rivet. Today on Family day went to the trailer show London too look at the new units and cure the itch. Oh and another 8 inches of snow on its way!

Require them to remedy the situation.

I just leave it off.

I am going to make (4) 3/4" black pipe supports with flattened ends for Youroo's stabilizer jack legs I put in front of the axles just so they match the rears, put molding down around the living room where we took the carpet out and add a shelf under the door side window for my printer. Then if our oldest son needs it, will take it to Atlanta until Dec. It may make one more trip to FL this Dec. and then put a For Sale sign on it.

I am ashamed.... All I did was organize a few electrical supplies in some little snap top containers, a small amount of inspections, new container of damp rid and lubricate the slide tracks/gears.

LOL, just posted this on another thread:

DH and I spent some time out there (put it back in the back yard out of the driveway last night) in it this evening...just enjoyin' the homey ambiance, and tweekin' a few more things.

Found the perfect permanent fix for the bedroom door thumpin' against the door stop at the top of the stairs every time the trailer moved the tiniest bit; I put the fuzzy side of a Velcro dot on the plastic end of the spring. tada! Perfect size and it's nice and quiet now.

Also put up a wall vinyl quote today:

Wall Decal Sticker Words Good Coffee Is A Pleasure Friends Coffee Cup | eBay

....on the wall above the kitchen slider, centered above the stove.

Tah daht dah dah dah, We're Lovin' It!

Temps were well up into the 70's today, rain was predicted but was thankfully a no show.

We'll soon be installing the brackets for the awning tie down poles OC is making for us. We are getting two sets since our fiver has a 9' and an 8' awning on it.

If this weather holds out and things go as planned, we're shakin' er down this weekend!

yip yip YAHOOOO! Finally! What we used to call winter blues we're now calling "hitch itch" thanks to someone who called it that recently here.

Gotta GEAUX!

I have a 2860DS;
1) Installed spring loaded curtain rods and curtains on all the windows.
2) Put 2 more batteries in parallel with what the RV came with. I do a lot of dry camping.
3) In the same vein as #2, bought LED lights online for all the light fixtures.
4) Added 3 more shelves in the pantry.
5) Installed bug screens over the outside heater vent.
6) Had a taller glass divider made between the stove and couch to eliminate grease from splattering over the top of the divider and onto the couch.
7) Cut foil to size for the cab area windows for privacy.
8) Installed a digital DC meter where I can monitor the coach battery voltage.
9) Installed an exterior cover over the bedroom ceiling vent allowing the vent to be open when it rains.
10) Installed wire racks in some of the cupboards to utilize the space better.
11) Bought an inverter to enable me to use AC devices (like a toaster) from my coach batteries without having to start the generator.
12) Installed my own bedroom TV.
13) Put spacers on the front TV mount to tilt it, giving a better viewing angle.

(sigh) It's sad to read about a For Sale sign on your baby, OC, but I think that IF you do sell it, you should hold an auction!

If we hadn't just bought our new 5er I'd be first in line to bid on that puppy, knowing all the mods you've done to it and how well you've maintained it.

I'm making a storage tube for the outside rug. I shopped yesterday, painted it with the flexseal (so it will be water resistant), today. Still working on final design...

Platokidd, Hah! Sorry, guess I misread the thread title, must have overlooked the word "Today"....

Let's see, today, all I did was look out the window at it, all covered in snow... Gotta get out there though soon in prep for my annual Spring trek south.

Finished up the plans for a rear bumper BBQ grill mount. Sent plans and aluminum to the fabricator. Should have it back in a week or two.
