Watched the clouds roll in - then move on - left a tiny shower. We had the windows open for a short time: 72 deg high. We're in Kingsland, TX now.

Got it home today from our three day trip just to drain and blow it out due to a freeze warning tonight. Will winter ever go away?

"Will winter ever go away"? My question is, what winter?! We were in Tucson, AZ. I remember wearing jeans in Jan. and buying LP gas almost weekly. Yeah, we suffered.

I can go with the jeans, but why were you going through so much LP? Night time lows?

Saturday, Cleaned and organized basement again. Re-filled water system that was drained due to 17 degree on wednesday. Today I got the satelite system all programmed for the carry out dish, installed a 12 v tap for the dish borrowing the gas fitting door. Tightened all the loose RG 6 connections on the coax system. Gained 10 units of signal in 2 locations. Was the TV, mounted bike rack, greased and lubed the hitch. Pull out in the morning.

Looking back, it was more like every 10 days I had to refill a 7gal tank. The lows were in the upper 30's - low 40's. The HP wasn't effective till about 45 degs.

What did I do to my camper today?
Called my dealer to ask when it's coming off the assembly line.

That's looks good but you cannot mount that on the back of a Georgetown280Ds 2014 model.

Not a whole lot today- need to empty the fridge and get bikes/strollers our before taking her back to the storage lot.

Yesterday, I measured her ground to tip top of the air conditioner - 13' 4 1/2" when hitched up. While I was on the roof, I noticed a hitch pin was missing from one of my vent covers, so I had my wife throw one up to me to replace it. And then, I got down and she convinced her dad and I to wash the camper - that man is a saint; he did 95% of the work while I simply hosed it down ahead of him and rinsed it after him. (In exchange, I helped spread some mulch, bought pizza/dinner for all of us, shared my beer, gave them firewood, first starters, brought their fire pit up from the basement and started a fire. All told- he still got screwed in the deal. )

What did you do to your camper today?

Called the dealer and the trailers built. Just have to wait till they get it to pick it up. Hope it's soon, I think I bought 3 of everything waiting.

Busy Weekend!

DW usually starts off Friday night with, "What's you plans for Saturday?"
We like to go out for breakfast and then do the errands; market, dept. store, gas up one or both of the vehicles. Yesterday was no different, except...

#1 Worked ALL afternoon Saturday trying to get the Firestone Air Bags installed on the TV -

.....Which took me into Sunday. I only had to connect the air hoses and decide where I was going to mount the valve today, but it still took longer than I wanted.

Then this afternoon, I sent DW indoors. She cringes when I drill holes and putting the awning cradle on was going to drive her up a wall if she watched.

Then finally, I installed OC's awning tie-down brackets....

Of course, not one to let an opportunity go by without pointing out my mistakes of the past, DW pointed out the lower bracket on the awning made the side of the trailer stick out 2" more than normal. What happens when I don't remember to watch the sides?......

Retrieved the old trailer from the dealership, brought it home and emptied it before the insurance salvage team comes to pick it up (totaled after a hail storm)

Mounted hitch rails and hitch into the truck, in anticipation of the new trailer arriving soon!

Picked up Trailer from dealer(there getting damage fixed, don't ask). After 2 hour drive home spent 3 hrs trying to find blown fuse for front landing gear. DH raised landing gear too high and trailer pin stuck in hitch, apparently one too many tries at regulating height of trailer blew the fuse. We are first time 5ver owners an it would seem the learning curve is going to be very steep. Thankfully we were in our own drive way disconnecting and not in some RV park. Fortunately we both have a good sense of humor!

Installed and wired two 8" long 3/4" wide, strips of LED's above the entry steps. I attached them with small bolts, to the plastic frame around the brown step opening. They're wired to the step and porch lights. I will attempt to attach a pic of them now from this iPad. I may have to use the comp later to do so.

Replaced P-trap in bathroom of brand new, never used, toy hauler. Manufacturer is so lazy they installed a cracked one. Nothing a little epoxy couldn't fix.

-Also installed keyed switch for awning, so that renters of my trailer cannot use the awning.
-Finished swapping out all interior lights to LED, using 1/17th of the power of incendescents.
