I took mine back to dealer my slide is broke its 6 days old

Our RV was 5 months old and we were 300 miles from home when one of our slides quit working, very discouraging to say the least. Once you get it fixed we hope you have many enjoyable years and miles ahead of you.

WOW, I can only imagine how you all felt. We have been dumbfounded since this happened thinking we have bought a lemon. I'm hoping we haven't. What did you all do, was the a dealer close that helped you all?

Installed my Progressive EMS hardwired unit while at the rally. Could not have done it without the help of Turbs and RVChick's DH. It went so well, we installed one in his. Thanks guys. And thank you gljurczyk for the JT Strongarms hook up.

Just got back from storage lot and was able to a light in the shower
(for DW) and moved my PI readout from the bunkhouse storage to a place where I can monitor it. All that and I forgot to drop off my fabulous sign that firefighter made!

The dealer in our area said it could be six weeks before they could get to it. I got in touch with Forest River, they sent me the part I needed (Gear Pack) for the slide and I repaired it myself. Shipped the part out in one day, five days for UPS to get it here and a couple of hours to change the part. Was back out camping that next week and several times since. The failure happened Memorial day weekend. Everything has worked flawlessly since.

oh my goodnesssss! Those ARE almost too pretty to use! 
The current diver's side landing gear foot looks a bit rough...Fred "tagged it as his" and it's now a tad rusty.  Thought about using some steel wool on it. Lil bugger. 
Edited to add: the factory landing feet aren't painted either! Just bare aluminum.

We'll trade landing gear pads as I need a set to go on the landing gear that Glenn Jurczyk gave me. A bead blaster works wonders on rust, so we'll have them looking like new.

Installed a cover on the landing gear I can lock. We have 1 neighborhood teen that causes trouble. I can now lock the cover, has a slot power left for such
Cut the stock switch down on the bandsaw and glued in the square opening.
Bought several universal outdoor covers at Menards in Goshen.
Next rear stabilizers switch.
