What did you do to your camper today?

I am thinking of blowing all lines putting AF in the drains and tanks and leaving all the faucets open but not putting AF in the lines, does anyone do this?

It's what I do every year.Worked well until I forgot to blow out the water pump. New pump fixed that problem.

Ouch, I would rather spend a lot more time making sure all lines, pump, HWH are totally free of water and leave all faucets open, AFbin drains, toilet, and tanks. We don't drink the H2O at campsites but I double filter the water coming into the RV just to keep my RV clean, I guess we put water in our mouths when we brush our teeth so would rather have a clean system then not. Mine is brand new used it once when we picked it up so the more I stay on top of it the more I can assure a very clean system, will be sanitizing the lines etc next week just to get it all ready for camping between May and November

Finally finished hooking up the 3 different cable feeds for the Tailgater to the satellite box. Now I can plug in either the pinbox, ladder mount or tripod feeds without having to plug or unplug any cable or string wire on the ground for any of them except the tripod.

Finally got to finish my electric fireplace install . Screws are covered with buttons and varnish is on. Project grew into a phone charging station when I moved an outlet to get power for fireplace.

Adjusted the brakes, de-winterized, repainted the Equal-i-zer brackets and bars.
We'll finish loading her up this evening before leaving tomorrow for a week at Natchez Trace state park.

Water lines flushed out , water heater filled and electric side on, fridge on. Propane will get cked next week. Done enough for today. Ribs in smoker for dinner,

Installed two LED dimmers for the awning lights.

Installed awning hold down poles on our slide out awning. 2nd set of OC brackets was installed a few days ago.

Looking forward to trying them out

Might swap my main conduit poles too out if I like them.

How about blowing it out, then antifreeze, then blow it again? That way you know the water is rinsed out but the antifreeze won't be there in the lines.

Added 72' of red led rope lights under the fiver. It looks really awesome at night especially with the red led nose lights that came installed on her. Also installed white rope lights under the toe kick on the kitchen island and another outlet. Next will be redoing the bathroom medicine cabinet. Will shave off one inch from the depth and mount it into the wall so we can better access the sink.

Put about a 2 foot rub across the corner of the front cap and about 3 feet of heavy rub marks with some tears in the rubber roof on our 2014 Silverback with a limb at the registration office at Bull Shoals/White River State Park in northcentral Arkansas today....don't know why they would have that 4" limb still there hanging over the parking area where you stop to register though I know it's my fault for not looking up....you can tell it's been hit by others though I did put a pretty good signature on it....lucky I had some repair material to keep us in the dry.

I put some water in the tank and powered up the water system! I couldnt believe it,everything worked and nothing leaked!This is a new unit that we picked up in nov, no PDI on the water or electric.Everything electric worked too.Other than tweaking a few things,we were ready to roll in about 4 hrs. I dont understand what they were thinking when they put the RVQ tap on though,its back under the trailer about 14" and you must crawl under to hook it up.I will remedy that tomorrow.

Made my own metal child gate since they don't make them 2ft narrow still got to hing and latch it. It use to be a bent sunburst awning.

Had some questions about the awning poles I put on my slide, so here's a bit more detail.

The brackets are from OC of course, and the poles are Sherlock painting poles from HD. The poles are a fiberglass outer and a hexagon aluminum inner with a push button locking mechanism. The poles come with adjustment holes every 6", so I added more holes to give adjustments every 1.5". Since the inner pole has flat sides this is easy to do, as you only need to center the additional holes left to right and only drill one side.

The aluminum inner section has a metal threaded portion for rollers so I cut that off with a chop saw, and cross drilled for mounting to the top bracket. It's hollow and that leaves a hole in the top, so I put a bit of silicone caulk over the hole. I painted the fiberglass outer section and the locking mechanism with this paint, it works for plastic and covered well. While I had the soft handle removed for painting, I shortened it to 1.5" and cut a hole in the bottom with a utility knife to drain any water out.

The 4-8' length poles almost reached the ground with the awning deployed flat. I always set it to have slope away from the RV and to one side, so the length should be fine the way I'll use it. I may swap my main awning's metal conduit poles later, but would need to use the 6-12' length since its mounted higher.

The quick locking mechanism is what I like about these poles, and they are also light. Hopefully the mechanism will be durable, I do see that Wooster sells rebuild kits if needed.

Please post a thread with pictures and how to for this one. My medicine cabinet is one of my annoyances with my camper.

Wifey and I pulled The Beast outa it's hole along side the shed and put it in the driveway for a spring de-winterizing. The cover will come off, then the fun begins. On a bright note, there were NO mouse droppings anywhere to be found!
