Makes sense what you are saying but I am very rarely away from a decent H2O hookup and usually fill fresh water tank 25% when I get to campground in case water becomes a problem. Can you use any accumulator with this Pump? I may go off the grid next summer to do some state and federal parks

X2. Just get a battery powered digital Hunter or Honeywell model.

The thermostats without a AA or AAA battery compartment need 24v DC to operate and RV ACs don't have a 24v line.

The only disadvantage to an accumulator is when you turn the pump off to travel and would happen to develop a leak, the accumulator will push water out of the leak and you won't know it until after the disaster happens and you stop. Other than that, it is a BIG advantage for those that boon dock or use their water pump. If I were going to put an accumulator in, it would be a 5 gal one and a new high volume pump.

Youroo, you're right. What I meant to say was that it doesn't store hot water, just cold. It won't increase the volume of hot water.

You are incorrect, it increases the volume for the entire water system, HOT & COLD when you are on the pump.

OC, I said "it won't increase the volume of hot water." No argument that it increases the total system volume but the water in the accumulator is cold. It's not warm until it leaves the accumulator and the WH warms it.

Surely if you have the skills to add an accumulator you can add a valve to shut it off before travel.

In fact you should put a valve there anyway to keep "pink" out of the tank when you winterize. That way after you drain the system, you can close the valve before you put the antifreeze in the lines.

Silly question the water lines can hold a max of what pressure? 120psi? Water coming in from the campground is dropped to 55psi thru my water regulator so what is the max pressure pump a 2015 Roo can handle? 90psi? Just trying to see if replacing this all including my filter is worth the trouble

The water lines can hold a lot more pressure than the plastic fittings and valves can. If there is a pressure related failure, it will most likely appear in the toilet and/or faucet valves.

Not a matter of skills, but no one mentioned adding a valve. I was merely pointing out the necessity of it!

Today I cleaned and organized the coach in preparation for taking it in for the Safe-T-Plus installation and the "cheap handling fix". They're also going to do an alignment and rotate the tires.

I never noticed this counter before.....on the dash (Georgetown 270). Is it for generator hours?
